Great concept....poor execution.
The building itself is spectacular. It gave me a historic/industrial feel. Great wooden booths, incredible fridge that has been restored, and a magnificent array of baked goods. So what could go wrong?
Most complaints are in regards to the service, which I can see validity in such concerns. The service fluctuated between each worker. Friendly bussers, cranky order lady, and lackluster attentiveness. We had ordered two lattes to accompany our breakfast and they "got lost in transit." We had completed most of our breakfast by the time our caffeine arrived.
Food wise....medicore. I've read so many raving reviews about the food. We ordered their highly regarded Chicken Apple Sausage Sandwich and Two Egg Breakfast Combo with sausage as well. Both dishes were good, not great. The chicken sausage is their homemade speciality and I enjoyed the taste. As for the breakfast sandwich, I would opt for bacon next time rather than the chicken sausage. We kind of grew tired of the sausage.
Overall, pricing for breakfast for two came to about $30 with coffee each. Moderately priced for moderate experience. Is it all that's it's hyped to be? In my...

The Grilled Marinated Chicken Breast Sandwich is an absolute must-try. It blew my taste buds away with its perfect blend of flavors. My only regret is that I’m not from the area, so I can’t enjoy it on a regular basis.
The BLAAT is a daring twist on the classic BLT. Who knew a good thing could be made even better? It’s a delightful surprise that I highly recommend.
I’m officially addicted to their Tomato Soup. It’s the perfect comfort food, especially on a chilly day.
And don’t even get me started on the pastries! They look and taste amazing. My only complaint is that the sandwich portions are so generous that I couldn’t find room for more pastries after my meal.
If you’re in Riverside, make sure to stop by this sandwich place. You won’t be...
