The ambiance is in need of some serious lighting. Sure the design and vibe of the spot is supposed to be rather dark but I'd suggest some more lighting onto the walls for a bit more life inside. Besides the interesting ambiance, I'd say the price is much more than I'm used to paying for taps of similar beers. I paid 11.49 for a 12 oz pour of a Tarantula Hill IPA. In most stores you can find a 6 pack for that price. In breweries you'll find 7-8$ 16oz pour off tap. The environment is nice but needs light on the walls to bring some life into the room. I will say the variety is refreshing I haven't come across many places that offer pours of mead which is unique. If the drinks were properly priced, and I was craving mead in particular, I would be here again but until then the city has many other locations to enjoy for the price. A saving grace may have been the flights of the variety, however theives ruined this small locations ability to keep it up due to...
Read moreOk so I found this place a few months ago and it is a nice little gem hidden in the walkthrough. As you walk in you are greeted with chairs from every thrift store in town and the tables are all works of art. We sat at one made of motorcycle chains and every loose item in a mechanics workshop. As for the menu I have to tell you that by the time you read this it will probably have changed. The change it up pretty frequently I assume because it was different on 3 separate occasions. The change is good though as I have never had a bad drink, the staff is awesome and they are very knowledgeable about their products. So if you're a beer snob or you just like delicious things I would pop in here for a few drinks. Keep up the awesome work...
Read moreGreat bar to try new beers. They cycle through their taps quite frequently but still offer popular beers. Tap 1 is more often than not a nitro stout. This is my go to tap to try new stouts, however I also like to try their meads, red ales, etc. whenever possible.
Atmosphere is great also. The AC is usually amazing. Wall decor is eclectic. Seating /tables are unique, industrial, antique. Each barkeep usually has their own personal playlist running so the vibe kind of changes in a refreshing way. Lighting is dim but doesn't feel dark.
Staff is often very knowledgeable, helpful, full of character and whimsy. I come for the beer and stay for the atmosphere / people.
In short, this is a great bar. Try for yourself and see if...
