Sushi Times is located near Ten Ren and Cha2o in Riverside off University Ave and Iowa Ave - very close to UCR. This sushi restaurant has a wide selection of hot and cold appetizers, salads, rolls (fresh, tempura, and baked), hand rolls, sashimi, bento boxes, and they even have omakase. In addition, they also have ramen, bowls, and a variety of boats and platters for large parties. Did I mention they also do catering? The only thing they don’t have here is AYCE. While they offer a variety of tasty dishes, they lack with staffing — at least the day I came in for dinner. Our server was very nice and checked in on us from time to time, apologizing for the slow service. However, he really needed help because every guest was waiting for something. Presentation of the dishes weren’t consistent all the way through. What I mean by that is we were served our appetizers (Seaweed Salad and Cucumber Salad) on both plastic and styrofoam plates and rolls were served on a typical sushi platter with a beautiful orchid. Here is a list of what we ordered: - Seaweed Salad - Good, cold and crunchy! - Cucumber Salad - Usually my “go to” appetizer over edamame but this was slightly too sweet for my liking. - Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice - This was tough and sorta burnt. It did have a good taste though. - Popcorn Lobster Roll - I can tell it wasn’t freshly fried. This was my least favorite. - Rainbow Roll - Classic. Good. - Sexy Roll - One of my top two favorites. - Baked Salmon Roll - Classic. Warm. Good. - Salmon Skin Roll - Good and crunchy. I loved the textures. This was my favorite roll here! We dined in and the restaurant was very clean. You can tell they really followed the COVID-19 regulations. Parking is a bit hard to find because it’s located in a busy plaza. I did make sure to come before the dinner rush so that helped me secure a spot right away. They do have a parking garage in the back of the plaza. Overall, I was happy to satisfy my sushi cravings. Sushi Times offers a wide selection and I’d love to come back and try other dishes here. Service was slow but friendly.

Cool little sushi spot on University. Tried this place for lunch and I’m sure I’ll go back sometime. I work nearby and it’s close enough to drive to. It was around 4pm and walking in was kind of confusing for a first-time customer. Not sure if I needed to walk up to the cashier or wait at the front to be greeted/seated. Wasn’t a big deal, but as someone who deals with social anxiety it was a tad inconvenient. I made my way to the cashier after browsing through a few menus and placed my order after waiting a few minutes (cashier was busy with orders.) Was in and out within 15 minutes or so. To be quite honest, the sushi was delicious. Though, I was expecting some sesame seeds. I’m not entirely sure what the standard is for California rolls or sushi in general, but I’m used to sesame seeds. Regardless, my overall experience was great and it made me want to come back and maybe even eat there instead of ordering takeout. Thank you. :)

Came here late at night as it was the only option left in the area. Holy moly the prices are up the roof! Probably because it's still within the vicinity of the university where students have to pay premium prices to survive, but that's another story. Service was rather slow but it was near to closing time so it was understandable. The curry tasted decent, batter on the pork chop was fresh and crispy, the pork chop itself was pretty tough though. However, for the price ($16.95 + tax), I was most disappointed with the amount of pork chop (see pic)... There was a lot of curry and not enough rice or pork to go with it. I'd be very hard-pressed to ever come here again just because of the price. For this meal, I'm expecting closer to $12-13. I didn't try the sushi and there are great google reviews for this establishment in general, but this place seems to be catered towards students that are very financially cushioned.

Sushi Times in Riverside, CA offers a delightful sushi experience that is sure to satisfy any sushi lover's cravings. From its inviting ambiance to the mouthwatering flavors, this restaurant has a lot to offer. Although I had a minor issue with the online menu and pricing, overall, my dining experience was enjoyable, earning Sushi Times a solid 4 out of 5 rating.

Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by friendly staff who promptly seated me at a comfortable table. The interior decor exuded a contemporary and relaxed atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for a casual lunch or an intimate dinner. The lighting was just right, creating an inviting ambiance that enhanced the dining experience.

Sushi Times' menu boasted an impressive array of sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese delicacies. However, my excitement was slightly dampened when I noticed that the online menu and prices differed from what was offered at the restaurant. It would have been helpful if the online platform was updated to reflect the current offerings accurately. Nonetheless, the menu still had plenty of options to choose from, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of the food.

Moving on to the star of the show—the food itself—Sushi Times did not disappoint. Each dish was beautifully presented, showcasing the culinary artistry of the sushi chefs. The sushi rolls were a burst of flavors, combining fresh fish, perfectly seasoned rice, and a variety of delectable fillings. The sashimi was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the accompanying dipping sauces added an extra dimension to the taste.

One standout dish was the signature Sushi Times Roll. Packed with a generous amount of salmon, avocado, and spicy mayo, this roll was a harmonious blend of textures and flavors. It was truly a delight for the taste buds. The restaurant also offered vegetarian and vegan options, catering to a diverse range of dietary preferences.

The attentive service at Sushi Times deserves special mention. The waitstaff was attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready to offer recommendations. They ensured that my dining experience was enjoyable and made me feel valued as a customer.

In conclusion, despite the discrepancy between the online menu and the actual offerings, Sushi Times in Riverside, CA provides an exceptional sushi experience. The pleasant ambiance, delectable food, and attentive service make it a top-notch dining destination. I would highly recommend trying out their mouthwatering sushi rolls and sashimi. With a little improvement in online menu accuracy, Sushi Times has the potential to be a five-star...

The food here was super duper delicious, it has been one of the very first sushi places we have tried in this area driving on the way.

We stop to take a break and eat and my ooooh my I’m speechless. Yes a few people say you have to wait a bit. Trust the process the food is freshly made straight out of the kitchen the lettuce sides and everything was so fresh and mouth watering.

We eat until we where full. Then decided to order more because it was really tasty and delicious to the point we over ordered and added dessert on top.

We order the mango rolls yum !!!!! And crunchy shrimp roll and The crispy freshly made jalapeños pieces battered in cream cheese and tuna fried and cooked with it. This is a definite gem place to come. My rating is 5 starts if I had to offer more I would.

People you have got to come and eat here, you won’t regret it, it’s definitely a treasure place to cherish it.

My Child review below:

The food was so good that my mom forgot to take a picture , because as soon as the food came she dived in and did not wait to eat.

And my mom and I loved the jalapeños battered crisp. And next time we come here we might over order.

And my mom and I love this place food. And I think they should make it one...
