We were so excited for a new dim sum place nearby but after 2 hours later, we were very disappointed. The food and quality was actually pretty good, but the service and timing of the food being brought out in a timely manner and absolutely ridiculous. We got there shortly after 11, when they opened. They already had some tables seated but it wasn't too busy just yet. We ordered our food and we had the rice, potstickers and BBQ pork brought out in a reasonable amount of time. The rest of our order, which was the bulk of it came out a little over an hour later! It was so disappointing. No one ever checked on us, we asked for some forks and spoons for the kids and they forgot. Had to get up and get it ourselves. They were clearly understaffed, with all of them running around like crazy and even seemed like 2 of the servers (maybe the older gentleman was a manager) were arguing. As we sat there waiting for our food, the restaurant got busier and busier with customers. Unsure if we'll ever go back, maybe if they get more staff or cooks in the back. Still in search of a traditional dim sum place in the IE that has the carts that come around table to table. Overall food was a 3/4. But service and wait for food was a 1/2 at best.
Dumplings were good size, quality & taste ( shrimp hargow, pork & shrimp shumai, BBQ pork bun, piggy bun, potstickers)
BBQ pork, Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce, beef wide rice noodle we're good.
-Juicy pork buns were disappointing. Small and no...
Read moreCame here yesterday around 430pm. the place was empty, there's only a couple people there when we arrived. we were greeted by the manager, told us to sit wherever we like. mom was craving for siomai but we were told that they only serve that during lunch time. he was like, "you can order it during lunch time", and i said, "but we leave so far", and the manager said, "thats really close, i commute from LA everyday!" my mouth dropped lol.. ok he beat me, but seriously everytime i'm free, there's always traffic on the 60! so my mom got very sad, but the manager pulled it off and told us that he will try making it, (to make my mom happy) i mean after all, there wasnt many people. this is actually the 2nd time i ate here, it was bomb! shrimp fried rice and the pork chop peking style was really good! tender and soft. the wonton soup with noodles was perfect. i couldnt ask for anything more! the shanghai dumpling was lacking taste, but thats just me.. the siomai was better though. i also ordered the ice milk tea, it says on the menu it doesnt have any refills, but the manager and waiter kept giving me refills, it was cool! we still had some leftovers, our bill was $50 for all the plates we ordered. we will definitely come...
Read moreOutdoor seating was horrendous, we made a reservation but they still asked if we wanted two tables, knowing the headcount before hand. When we sat down, we were attacked by mosquitoes, and all the owner could say was oh its because its hot..yes I realize it's hot but they should've prepped for it. They did not have a big selection for dimsum even though they have the menu out for us to look at. Once the food started to come out and I bit into the fried chicken first, i noticed it was still pink inside. I checked all the pieces and they ALL were pink. When we told the owner, he said he will make a fresh batch, but came out and asked us if we still wanted the chicken?? Then he brought out the other dishes and I was too scared to try them. The main dish I didnt dare to touch was the steamed spareribs, which was clearly uncooked. The owner still had the audacity to say, that it was already like that. We basically had to cancel all the orders and told them everything was raw, but they charged us anyways. We paid anyways and left. As if it wasnt bad enough that they served us with red plastic cups, paper plates and plastic forks and spoons, with soy sauce packets, we had to eat...
