My first time here and I’m fairly impressed. Roanoke has not been my favorite for food in the year + that I have lived here. This place is your typical Americana but it’s done well.
The croissants were delicious. I wasn’t there when they came out so I didn’t see the drizzle. Did not expect them to be that sweet but it was a nice surprise. Warm, flaky, sweet and almost a dessert before the meal.
The amount of salmon that I saw throughout the dining room tells me the salmon should be tried. Particularly the bourbon glazed.
I had a ribeye which was actually cooked to temp but was really tough. Hard to cut and chew. Potato tasted well but if you’re someone like me who likes to eat the skin it was a bit overdone on the bottom.
The light batter on the cheese curds was nice and crispy but neither it or the cheese had much flavor. The homemade ranch was a decent dipper and added some needed saltiness.
The most disappointing was the Cookie Monster which I forgot to photo. The cookie was soft to cut into but it was SO DRY!!! It crumbled before you could get it on your spoon. Ice cream was a solid chunk except the portion that had melted and was crystallized. Not sure how quickly my cookie came out because by the time it got to me I had a rock of ice cream surrounded by a puddle and the whipped cream was not standing at all. Flavor of the cookie wasn’t great, ice cream wasn’t great and it definitely was not cooked well.
Overall, it wasn’t bad. I would come back and try another dish but would NOT sit at another table where a whole half of the table is blocked in by a wall. Not sure how this is up to fire code and I would never want to be the person who is stuck in the corner with 2 people and 2 walls...

Stopped by with a party of 8 on 10/12. Understanding that it was a weekend evening, and we had a large party, we tried to make a reservation. The host diverted our call several times and could only offer call ahead seating one hour before we arrived. We followed through with this and called an hour before we arrived. We were told that we would be placed on the list.
Once we arrived, the host said that our planned table was occupied and that as soon as the party got up that we would be seated. We were told this several times by the host, and that the party seated had paid checks and the tables was mostly pre bussed. Once they got up, the tables were cleaned and separated for two other parties that walked in after us and were not on call ahead seating. We were then being told three things from three different hosts. We asked to speak to the manager, and a very rude bald headed man with an apron came up front. He wasn't able to make sense of what we were told and could only throw his hands up and say that the hosts were only 16 so what could I expect.
Apparently its too much to expect them to complete the job that they are paid for.
Ample parking, with clean restrooms.
Their bar selection is on point. The painkiller drink comes out strong and taste amazing. I don't like the flakes of coconut but still enjoy the drink. They have this same tropical sauce from the shrimp and it pairs well.
The croissant are warm and melt in your mouth.
This is a scratch made kitchen and they make the...
Read moreI was a curbside order but when I arrived and checked in using the link and they attempted to charge me for my order, my card was locked. So naturally to avoid them having to come outside and let me know or whatever the case was I called the curbside number on the sign for everyone’s convenience and I was greeted politely but once i informed the lady I was curbside and just needed them to run my card again she said “okay let me transfer you to pick up “ I gave her the okay despite i called the pickup and curbside number directly . I was on hold for 15 minutes once someone picked the phone up again they place me on hold for a second time . By the third time i went inside (thankfully I have the ability to do so and no handicaps unlike some customers) i walk up to the pickup counter and the only person i see is a woman working the bar , she greets me in a rude way and tells me she will get someone. Which I understand she isn’t working the to go orders so there’s nothing wrong there but her tone. About 10 minutes later the employee comes from the back with my order and I am able to explain to her my issue and she was just dismissive towards me overall same as the woman behind the bar. I spent almost $100 in food and ordered curbside just to still have to endure that type of behavior from the employees. It definitely left a HORRIBKE taste in my mouth and I don’t plan to return to dine in or take out honestly . The worker listed on my order was KeYli but as I said before the employee behind the bar was just as...
