Ok.. where do I even begin. I walked in and was greeted with nothing but smiles and sunshine from the hostesses. My belly was empty, I was so hungry, not gonna lie I was hangry… their kindness certainly helped simmer me down. The kind lady sat me and my buddies down at our table for three. GREAT atmosphere, might I add, lots of tables of different size varieties, large windows for that added ambiance Lol. The first thing I did was look at the menu. Such variety, so many options. Not good for a hangry person.. who must make a decision as soon as possible. I ended up ordering a delicious order of the Belgian waffles, with batatos and scrambled eggs. Wow…. Just wow was this good! The eggs were varnished with some green onion, the waffle arrived with a scoop of cinnamon butter and blueberry jam, it was DIVINE. I devoured it all into my belly in a jiffy! There was one issue though, the unfortunate reason why I must give this place a 4/5 rather than a 5/5. There was certainly not enough potatoes on my plate. Like god, what is this? A mouse’s portion?? I don’t know about you all but I certainly do not eat like a mouse. Please fix this and probably DOUBLE the amount of potatoes served… Me and my belly were very dissatisfied. Anyways, I will provide photos of my EMPTY plate. I was too hungry to snap a photo of the entire meal. I will include a picture of my buddies biscuits and gravy which also looked divinely delicious.
Edit* Came back. Got the same thing. Syrup was hot, food was hot, and waitress was hot. 10/10...
Read moreWe placed ourselves on the waitlist and then walked the plaza for a while. We were seated in the 30-45 minute window we were promised.
When we arrived, we were taken to our social distanced table (maybe a dozen total tables). Our server was quick to tend to everything we needed, but not very personable(didn’t give us her name, wasn’t very friendly, but was attentive.)
We both tried the coffee. My wife didn’t like it at all, she said it didn’t really taste like anything. I thought the coffee was okay, but nothing to write home about.
My wife had the Lemon ricotta pancakes, I had the seasonal Burrito. The lemon ricotta pancakes were light and fluffy, and the lemon ricotta topping was just the right level of tart and sweet. Topped with a little maple syrup, the pancakes were top notch! The Carnitas Burrito was Pork, scrambled eggs, potatoes, black beans, cheeses, and avocado wrapped in a wheat tortilla. It was topped with a tomatillo hollandaise, lime crema, pico de gallo, pickled onions, fresh cilantro and Cotija cheese. It was an absolutely delicious dish! A perfect savory Mexican style burrito with lots of delicious, juicy flavors. I would personally love this for breakfast any morning!
Overall, the service was good, the coffee was okay, but the food was great! We will probably make our way back if we ever have an early morning in...
Read moreI usually love First Watch but I likely will never go back to this location. We were here on a Friday morning and waited 1 hour 15 minutes for lukewarm food in a medium busy dine-in situation. My overcooked omelet had shallots in it that weren't peeled or sliced all the way through and still had their roots on, but what was I going to do, send it back and wait another hour? I cut the shallots myself. The waitress avoided coming to tables because everybody was mad at the wait, and therefore coffee didn't get refilled and no one knew what was going on; when she finally did come by she said the wait was because of DoorDash orders being prioritized over customers in the restaurant. Completely outrageous policy and it is to the detriment of a really good restaurant. Obviously being rushed is affecting the quality of the food and service. The staff are obviously very stressed about the situation, and I don't blame them. I won't go back here unless there is evidence that management is changing...
