The Nordic Shop — Local services in Rochester

I've gotten products from this store online, but last month was my first time going into the store. Immediately walked in and started crying happily a bit. My grandfather was born and raised in Norway, and he was the most important person in my life. He passed away nearly 20 years ago, but he's always remained in my thoughts and heart.

Seeing everything in the shop reminded me of the last time I went to visit the Valdres valley where my grandpa and his side of the family are from. We had done so many things there, including going on the barrel water ride at the Troll Park.

Being in this shop brought up so many good memories about him. I don't have many things of my own from Norway, so when I started gathering together items to make a memorial shrine for my grandpa, I stopped by The Nordic Shop and managed to find a little troll that reminded me of my grandpa. I plan to be a frequent customer here and even sent the link for the online shop to my grandma and brother.

Thank you so much for bringing the Nordic culture to Rochester in such a small but spectacular way. And thank you to the wonderful ladies that work there, you were so sweet...

Definitely a five-start service.

I would have given 5 stars per my previous experience but an average 3 is order given our experience today.

We have bought several sweaters and accessaries over the years at the Nordic Shop in Rochester, MN, and the experience has been wonderful.

I only give 3 stars because I noticed a couple of Dale sweaters on sale for 50% yesterday and wanted my daughter (who is local) to go see them in person to confirm the weight vs. my other sweaters.

Unfortunately, when my daughter went over today, the prices were up based on "tariffs" and that is just not right. First, these sweaters were part of the existing inventory. Second, US customs has not implemented the tarrifs yet and announced it would take them at least a week.

Very dissapointed at the Nordic Shop for raising prices pre-tarrifs and on existing stock.

I guess we will look elsewhere...

I'm 99.9% NW European and mostly Norwegian. This store brought back so many memories from my childhood from the Dahl sweaters to the jewelry and much more. I highly suggest a visit.

Please understand that the prices on the sweaters, mittens, and other items that are imported from Norway are a bit higher priced than Americans are used to.
