Starbucks — Restaurant in Rockford Township

The food at this Starbucks location is as it is at every Starbucks location, Good. The customer service is actually the worst. Every Starbucks I've ever been to I've had great customer service except for this location. I came there about the month ago and decided to never come back. I took a while to make this review because I was just going to drop it but over the last month I've had a few conversations with others who share in my opinion. So I thought I'd bring it to someone's attention. I'm never greeted with a smile and almost treated as if providing service to me is an inconvenience. Furthermore, when I go to other Starbucks locations I'm offered the option to refill my drink for free regardless which drink I get, I can get a free refill on coffee or tea. They denied me that and told me they don't provide refills at this location. After refusing to give me a refill they chuckled about it amongst themselves. But every location I've ever gone to always have given me free refills. That's one of the perks! So, between the no free refills and the lack of enthusiasm, I for sure will not be back at this location and I know a few people who also won't be back. I had my doubts about this location, but I am actually very pleasantly surprised, especially when it comes to the service and the atmosphere. I’m an admitted coffee snob and will always be loyal to my local brands first and foremost, but for someone who works the graveyard shift half the week, having a place open after 5pm is super helpful. The atmosphere in this Starbucks is super cozy and inviting. Not as many places to sit, but for someone who doesn’t do the morning rush, that’s of no issue. The service here is also incredible and the best I’ve had at a Starbucks in a long time. I’ve had a rule for much of my life that I usually wait a while after a new place opens before I go to it, so the kinks that aren’t ironed out yet don’t cloud my opinion. I admittedly broke that rule this time around, and I’m glad I did! Y’all have been amazing each time I’ve been in here.
