We were a party of 2 who went in for lunch. The initial impression is that the interior is a bit dark which encourages you to sit nowhere but the bar which has plenty of spaces and comfortable chairs. The bartender was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu items. Many of the menu items include the same toppings just with different bases so we started with the taco totchos ($12, I believe). The tots were crispy and the taco meat topping was flavorful. I was not disappointed with the ratio of topping to tots and it was generally a good start. We ordered a pork tenderloin sandwich with regular fries and a bacon smash burger with onion rings. The tenderloin was pounded flat and fried but was still juicy. The breading was not heavy and was well seasoned. Fries were crispy and not overly salted. The burger was smashed but had none of the crispy edges that are expected with a true smash burger, it was just a flattened burger. The burger was delicious. The onion rings were bland and half were left in the container. Our sandwiches initially came out with sweet potato fries that we did not order, evidently an issue with the computer system so we were able to sample those free of charge and they were delicious. The large trays that our food was served on made our food look and feel minimalistic. The paper under the taco totchos did not hold up so it became saturated and disintegrated into the bottom of our food. The food plus 1 soda and 3 mixed alcohol drinks brought our bill to approximately $58 because we paid with a credit card (yes, they charge a fee). Overall, I was pleased with the experience and plan to return to check out their Friday Fish Fry. I am cautiously hopeful that the substance issues that plagued Dusty Boots will not return with Broadway Joe and this can be a local place we can...
Read moreFormally Dusty Boots, Broadway Joes is more than just a typcial sports bar. It's face-lift converting from Country to Sports Bar came with upgrades. They have plenty of TVs for sports enthusiasts and gaming machines if you want to chase lady luck. The food is visually appealing as it is full of flavor. I recommend the BBQ Pork Nachos. The crowd B Joes draws is a diverse mix. You will see families and seniors dropping in for a early meal and pint. Later in the day a youthful crowd emerges to enjoy the elevated bar scene. They always have rotating theme nights so if trivia, free pool, live music, and karaoke are your thing, pick your night. The staff is always warm, friendly, and on their game. Tori and the rest of the crew do a great job keeping the beer cold🍺 and cocktail glasses🥃...
Read moreI tried their new Smashburger today to compare it to Beefaroo Smashburger which is number one in my book. Yes indeed they smashed the burger patty but they didn't cook it like a Smashburger, they cooked it like a regular burger. In order to have a Smashburger you need to heat your grill up to 500° and get that crispiness on the edges of the burger this burger did not have any crispiness to it at all it was cooked like a regular burger as you could tell. It was tasty it was good as a regular burger but as a Smashburger it was a fail. I hope the cook learns that you have to have your grill at 500 degrees and get that crispiness on the edges of that burger to make it a true Smashburger. Hopefully he learns this and I will be back...
