I dropped off a brand-new 2019 Ram 3500 Limited ($96,000 truck) for ceramic coating and clear film applied to my bed to protect my paint. They also needed to repair faulty drivers side window tint they installed the week prior. The truck was dropped off Monday July 20th 2019 and was told it would be ready Tuesday July 21st 2019. I received calls every day stating they were having problems applying the clear film and asked for more time. I had no problem with the time needed and told them to keep it until it was done. I picked up the truck Friday July 19th. Upon inspection I noticed a door ding and the tint hadnât been replaced. I also noticed âcutsâ under the clear wrap. I pointed out the problems and I was told the ding would be repaired, the tint replaced and that the cut marks were in the clear wrap and they would look at it when I brought it back to them in 10 days. After leaving there and having the truck under bright light, I discovered the cut marks are not in the clear film, they are actually in my paint! I returned today to inform them I was taking it to a dealer Monday to have my entire bed repainted and the door ding repaired as I didnât trust this wouldnât happen again with the vehicle in their possession.
The owner said he wasnât going to pay for it now, I couldnât prove they did the damage and to leave his building. So, being a retired K9 Deputy AND also owning a world renowned shop that builds high end Dodge Hellcats and Demons I knew he was completely wrong with his statements and I also couldnât believe an owner would act this way. If we ever accidentally damaged an expensive car in my possession we would fix it no questions asked ( and we have done this exact thing for our clients).
I contacted Loved Park PD knowing they couldnât do anything but I also knew I could get a call for service and if the officer, if inclined, would do a report on the damage for me if handled properly with him. đ
I have disputed my card, which I will win, Iâm also having the dealership estimate and repair my Brand-new truck. I will be filing a lawsuit Monday ( which the owner so graciously stated to sue him as I couldnât prove he damaged my new truck) with pictures that are time stamped and dated in front of his building before the work was done, and pictures that are time stamped and dated after the work was done showing his facility did indeed damage my truck. To any one reading this, because I own a shop that does expensive modification to expensive cars, always take photos of your vehicle in detail before leaving it at a faculty. We do it here when a car is dropped off to protect us from false claims, and to also protect our clients if we do indeed damage a vehicle. We have before and after photos to verify one way or another. I am filing a lawsuit with proof, contacting the Better Business Bureau, disputing my credit card and with my well know name in this area posting this experience all over social media on my business accounts as well as personal accounts. One thing I do know about being in business, if you treat one client good they tell 5 people, if you mistreat a client they will tell 100 people. In my case, with my following on social media, 17,900 people will see what I post and they will tell 10 people a piece to avoid this sorry excuse for a...
Read moreTL;DR: This location is terrible. Average work at best, consistantly fails to meet their own time tables, and their communication/transdparancy with the customer is nonexistant.
I have gone to these guys one more than one occasion and each time I have left frustrated and with a bad taste in my mouth. First time I went was to have my windows tinted, James tells me it would be a 2.5 hour job no big deal. I decided I would stick around until they finished because I had time before another event. I would peek my head in the back and would constantly see the people working on my car screwing around with the other employees and working on other projects. 6 hours later and 45 minutes past the time I was supposed to be somewhere else, they finally finished, with not even so much as an apology or acknowledgment of all my time they wasted.
Another time I went was to have my car wrapped with some film I bought. They said it would take a week. One week later I come back and not only do I find out that they hadn't finished by their deadline, I found out my car was skipped over so they could work on another customers car who came in after me because it was a "very important client". They also didn't bother to pick up a phone and call me in the week's time they had my car to tell me that they we're having issues with the film I gave them to use, so they decided the best thing to do was just not say anything and tell me the bad news when I came in a week later. Yet again, more of my time wasted.
So I had them dip my car instead and, to their credit, I feel it actually came out pretty well. That is until 3 months later it began peeling and I had to wait until spring for them to work on it. They begrudgingly agreed to fix it and would "Call me when the material got here". "3-4 days tops" they said. A week goes by and no phone call. I had to call them and ask about it for them to to say that they were having difficulty finding the topcoat product that was originally used. Both James and the owner himself assured me that the part was ordered and "would call me when it got here."
That was over a month ago. I am still waiting for that phone call that I know will never come, because nobody there seems to know how a phone works. I am absolutely done with this company. They fail to meet their own set timetables, have worse then you would expect transparancy with their clients, and just just an overall unprofessional manner in the way they do business. If I can't trust James, Dalton, or even the owner himself, to pick up the phone to do something as simple as communicate when materials get here then I certainly can't trust them with my car. Save yourself some headache and frustration and look elsewhere for your...
Read moreWent here for a remote start because of the good reviews on Google. I'm really not sure that previous reviewers reviewed the same place. I stopped in on November 26th, I believe, and inquired about a remote start with 1 mile range and no other frills (no door unlock or trunk open...). I assume it was Brandon who helped me, since he gave me his card, and after looking up the supposed components that would be required he said that it would be $599 installed. I suggested that that was kind of high and I was not expecting that much. He did some more searching and had me come around the counter where he showed me a system he found on Amazon, which was a remote start/alarm combo with 1 mile range for $199. He said it would be $329 installed and they could leave the alarm portion out of the installation. I said OK and set an installation appointment for December 13th. When I showed up on December 13th (used a vacation day from work), a female whom I assume to be Melissa and perhaps Brandon's spouse, was at the counter. After being told to wait while she conversed with employees, I said that I was there for the remote start installation. She asked my name (not nicely) and flipped through a calendar/notebook to find the hand written appointment. She exclaimed with frustration and anger how she could not read "his" handwriting and she could not help me and someone would have to find "him". She said she couldn't deal with this, there's no way they could install that for $329, and had to go run an "errand". She stormed out of the store and "he" came out of the back shortly thereafter. He learned what happened then went outside after her. After a few minutes he came back in (she went straight to the back office) and told me, angrily, we cannot install it for that price, you didn't tell me that's what you wanted on the phone, the system costs more than that. Um I came in person and its what you recommended and showed me and it cost $199. He says well then buy it and have someone someone else install it. So I just left. Wow, these people were highly unprofessional and seemed to be lost in the word of remote start systems. I was considering getting some windows tinted as well but I will not let them touch any of my vehicles. Thanks for wasting my vacation day. I drove to Best Buy and bought the 1 mile, 2 way, remote start (which TW claimed was $599) for $369 installed and had a much more...
