Sweets N' Eats — Restaurant in Rockford Township

I need to write this review because I think it's important for the public to know what an incredible gem we have in our own backyard.

First, let me begin by saying how awesome the inside decor is of this place! I mean a colossal size gum ball machine, huge jelly beans hanging from the ceiling, candy galore and don't forget the exciting variety of ice cream. Oh and not in the mood for sweets? Don't worry they have food that is so good the moment you smell it you begin to salivate.

But honestly, I'm not just writing this review on the food and atmosphere, I need to mention what a wholesome family owns this place. I was in a rut in needing a location for my daughter's birthday party. Our original location fell through and I had 1 week to figure it out or I would be forced to cancel. I reached out to sweets and eats and from the very first interaction Mary and Amy were willing to do whatever needed to host a party at their establishment. This is something they really haven't done but we're all on board to having 20 children come and run havoc for 3 hours. They catered the food, plated kids meals, set out extra food for guests, had children choosing out their own candy bags, had children choosing their favorite sundae, allowed us to play games and didn't mind us putting some birthday decorations up.

Every child had a blast, they were fed, sugared up and played games without fault. Then as the party ended, they called the birthday girl over and gave her a huge candy bucket bouquet. She was in awe as if it couldn't had gotten any better.

If you have never been there don't wait! .. and if you are looking for a fun sweet filled birthday give them a call. They just might be willing and able to put one more heck of a party together!

Amazing food. Poor customer service. Asked for my Birria tacos to be made without cheese add onion and cilantro. Mine was made with cheese…and no onions or cilantro. I called to let them know I am allergic and needed it to be remade. Never apologized for the in order being incorrect. The manager stated she would remake the order if I brought the incorrect order back to her. I let her know this was as a major inconvenience since I live about 30 minutes away from this establishment. 30 minutes later I returned the food had to wait 10 mins to be acknowledged by employee. I let her know I was there for a replacement order. Employee brought me the remade order about 5 minutes later , never apologizing nor having the manager speak with me. In general it was a poor experience and very little service recovery. I try to spend my hard earned money locally, but unfortunately I will not be returning as a customer. Unorganized, unfriendly staff and confusing set up....

I came to this restaurant on Feb 1 2025 and ordered an elote and other food but I found a hair in the elote. My daughter took it back up for to have it replaced and they refused. She was told it was hair from clothes as if that made a difference. None of us were wearing white clothing which was the color of the hair. I asked for the regional managers number and they said they do not have one. I asked for the owners number or the store managers numbers and they would not provide either number. I am African American and I felt that they did not want to provide the information because of that reason. This may not be true but this is the perception I felt when asking. I will not return to this restaurant and we drove 45 minutes because I told my child it was a great place. When I came here the first time it was with my friend and the were Caucasian and they received great service. One of the workers that day is featured...
