Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Rocklin

HORRIBLE!!! Honestly horrible experience. My boyfriend and I tend to be good tippers like 15% and more and it hurt leaving a tip but I feel bad leaving no tip because most of my family is in the food service. However, after my boyfriend I spoke about it we were like what the heck the bartender/service made us feel like we were invading his home. We were so nice to him, saying thank you and please. Nothing rude and he still acted rough. I have never in my life of only 22 years but still have ever written a bad review but this was horrible. He never even asked once if we needed anything, practically had to beg him to serve us!! Are you kidding me! I usually like applebees too. Honestly his mood got my bf and I so exhausted we need to go to bed and recover, HORRIBLE! I believe his name was Joe or something. Honestly my bf and I are nice people we like to converse with everyone, ask how their day was and get lots of booze but my bf and I were like nah no booze only one since I had already ordered the first and only time. My boyfriend forget his ID but hes like 27 and he asked if he could show him a photo and he was like no but then another couple comes and not even ID thems!!! R u kidding me. Like I understand you have to ID but like he had a photo and could've asked for the passport and my bf clearly looks older hes approaching 27 and he looks 30. Like again I understand but he could've asked for my bf passport or reason or asked the manager but the way he spoke to us immediately we were turned off didn't even enjoy the food. Uhhh, I honestly feel so sad. Like we r nice. And we showed up over 30 minutes before closing whereas the other couple came 5 minutes before closing. Like I understand we all have our bad days but if people are going above and beyond to be nice to you and you still are mean like that's not nice :(. Anyways here's my rant I'm just so distraught by the service never have I ever experience this. Moral is be nice to everyone, servers and customer . Never coming...

I visited this place with my husband on my birthday 4/7/18 since we have never been before we thought we would try something new for a change, well I decided to order something I wouldn't normally get the Chicken Won Ton plate (can't remember exact name), my husband order All Day Breakfast Burger he wanted the meat well done and his egg yolk cooked. We waited the time it took to get our food he got his about 30mins before me as he got his food and was not happy after finding out the meat was indeed not cooked as he wanted it was still extremely pink egg yolk not at all cooked only good thing about his plate was fries. As my plate arrives to the table I start to eat it and found plastic in my plate I then let my waiter Jesse know he then told the manager who promptly came to the table to address the problem I can't remember her name but she was really nice with brown hair, well anyways she then said they would make me another meal which I thought might be a priority but since the place was packed and we were the second table who was not satisfied with our meal we had to wait. We waited as long as we wanted, I then told my husband we should just leave as my birthday dinner was a bust. We then went to the hostess to tell them to cancel the meal they were remaking cause we didn't want to wait any longer and told her and the manager we would pay for any food or drinks we consumed then manager then just took care of it for us which was extremely nice since we didn't have a problem paying. She then proceeded to ask if we wanted a dessert to-go we we're hesitant at first and said no then she convensed us to get one, it only took that much longer. I have to add the waiter Jesse (I think) and manager (with brown hair) were extremely kind but food service was horrible for our first time...

Good food, decent service, and highly updated from the Applebee's I remember as a kid. This would be a great place to go with friends to watch the fights or a game. Their big screens everywhere inside are on point. Everything is super clean and fresh. I'll definitely be coming back as a regular.

I'd say with a little more training for their staff, this place will be a solid 5 stars. Our order had the wrong soup put in entirely. The waiter recommended one type, but we ordered a different one which was what my mom was craving when she chose that she wanted us to go to Applebee's specifically, and that's the only item she ordered. They brought out the one that was recommended making her feel like she wasn't listened to fully. My poor mom was so hungry, but we were patient. Life's too short to get mad and the waiter genuinely didn't mean to mix it up.

It was said the soup would be comped when they brought out the right one since they got it wrong and they took a long time to finally bring out the right one, but it was still on the bill and we paid for it anyways. That isn't an issue, but simply don't say you'll take it off the bill if you don't after the order was already wrong, you know? By that point we just said forget it and decided not to mention it. We had been there a long time and we were ready to go home.

Really nice waiter though and I'd he happy to be served by him again, hence my suggesting upping the training and maybe streamlining the operational processes a bit. I think the waiters were overwhelmed and distracted due to that. It wasn't only one waiter. I noticed a bit of the flurry all over, and it wasn't that busy to be honest.
