This is the first time I've ever been disappointed at a Mel's. My roommates and I went to go get food. Both of my roommates enjoyed their food but I ordered one of my favorite sandwiches the French Dip. I took a couple bites of the sandwich and I didn't like it at all. It didn't taste anything like a french dip I have gotten at other sandwich places. It didn't have any flavor and the iconic sauce which is one of my favorite parts wasn't good. It tasted like it almost had a burnt flavor to it. I decided I wanted to ask for something else to eat but our waitress didn't come back to check on us once. By the time I thought she was coming to check on us it was just to hand us our bill. Not ask how the food was or if we were doing good. Even my roommates who liked their food weren't impressed with the service. At that point when she handed us the check and made it clear that she wasn't even going to ask why I hadnt eaten my food I just felt defeated and didn't even want to push the matter further. Overall our visit was about 30mins and we wasted $16 on...

We were there maybe like 8am. Not a ton of people. You can tell the rush hadn't started yet. The gentleman who sat us was nice and the waitress was very sweet. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars. The food took a little long with the little amount of people. My scrambled eggs were literally dripping oil with a thin rubber texture. No big deal....even the potatoes "mels edition" were lackluster. Still no big deal. Been to plenty of mel's. This is just a bad day.

Went to the restroom.....I'm done now. Stalls beyond disgusting. Inch layers of dust on the partitions. Streaked doors and walls with I dont even know. Upon exiting the restrooms I started looking at other "tell signs". Short and sweet.....I'm praying that I dont get food poisoning. If your lobby is dusty, dirty....I'm afraid to look in...
