Pho Hot — Restaurant in Rocklin

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service and experience I had at your restaurant last week. I brought three old friends from San Francisco to Pho Hot and we ordered Pho Gà, or the chicken noodle soup. Unfortunately, what was served to us was beef noodle soup with some chicken meat added.

When we brought this to the attention of your staff, they insisted that this is how you prepare your chicken noodle soup by adding chicken to a beef broth. We requested to see where on the menu it states that the chicken noodle soup is made with beef broth, but were met with further argument rather than assistance.

The situation escalated when I explained that one of my friends has a beef allergy, which is why we specifically ordered chicken. We asked to speak to a manager or owner to resolve the issue, but were informed that there was no one available to address our concerns.

Given that I have been a regular customer at Pho Hot since 2018 and often recommended your restaurant to others seeking great Vietnamese food, this experience was particularly disappointing. Not only did the incorrect order affect our dining experience, but the dismissive attitude of your staff towards our concerns was unacceptable.

I hope that you take this feedback seriously and consider improving both your menu clarity and customer service protocols. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I will no longer be referring anyone to your establishment and am unsure if I will...

I ordered the vermicelli with chicken and shrimp. It was not good at all. I have had this dish at other restaurants and never tasted like here. It had a funny unpleasant taste some spice or something. The chicken looked gray and 2 little shrimp that didn't taste fresh at all. I love to give good reviews but after spending $15 and then throwing it out I thought it best to make it known and save others the money. I dined in for the first time at this Vietnamese restaurant which was recommended by Felix of Roseville Acura and was glad that I did follow his suggestion.
