UPDATE 11.3.23: I was contacted by corporate and then the Asst GM. Because of my initial review (below this update). Asst GM apologized many times and was going to give me a full refund. Instead, we decided it was fair to try them again.
We went today and asked for the Manager on Duty. It turned out to be the GM Nicki (sp?). She read the Asst GM's note and said our meal was on her. She wanted to hear the story of our previous experience.
After a nice visit, we ordered our beverages and meal.
WOW! What a difference. Service was excellent and fast. Our food was PERFECT in every way. Hot, fresh, and cooked to perfection. One of the best breakfasts I've ever had at an IHOP.
I thank the entire staff for turning a bad situation good. It just takes a little communication.
Now, I highly recommend this IHOP and will return.
PREVIOUS REVIEW: Terrible, terrible service and food!!
Only 8 people in the restaurant, including us.
Gave our order to the server. Waited 45 minutes. FORTY FIVE MINUTES for our food to come out. AND of the only 3 tables there, we ordered first. The other two were served before us. We only had 2 people at our table. When our food did cone out, the server dropped my plate.
Waited again for my food. Now, they forgot 3 items. Waited another 10 minutes to get the 3 items.
THEN, as we were about to leave, the server brought out my wife's waffle. 1.5 HOURS after ordering it!!!! Heck, we forgot about it because of all the mistakes and ruckus.
I know why our food was so late. One of the cooks, an African American guy, had to sing at the top of his lungs and dance to his songs instead of working. He was so loud. Not sure how THIS guy has a job. Also, not a manager to be found.
On top of all that, they let some recovering methods addict come in and go table to table selling banana bread for some church and home in Far East Texas. What????? There is NOTHING comfortable about trying to eat a meal and have a solicitor cone to your table and hard sell you.
You just can't make...
Read moreOn Monday early morning 1:22am my family and I got in to town late and we were hungry so we stopped in at IHOP to eat. This place was one of the most unsanitized restaurant I have been in. We weren't acknowledged when we walked in. We waited for about 7 minutes before I asked if we needed to sit ourselves. The waitress with red bangs stated that we needed to wait because they only had one side open and they were getting ready for an inspection plus she added in that some staff members hadn't showed up. Well we finally sat down there were tables dirty and other tables waiting on to be served. The wait staff that was there would go in and out to go smoke cigarettes and when they would come back in they didn't even go wash their hands they would come in and go see if an order was ready, when they would walk next to you it smelled like i was in a bar. Being that they were short staffed I don't know how they would find the time to go outside for a break when it was obvious the restaurant was in need of cleaning and customers waiting to put in their orders. Not only would they go outside to smoke they were going outside in the parking lot where there were a couple of cars in the back under some trees where there were a few guys out there drinking and smoking. The waitress that we saw go out there had a blue buttom up shirt and stayed almost 10 min before going back inside. The reason we observed this was because we ended up going to waffle house that's right next to it and we could see clearly what they were doing. Worst experience and disgusted by the way it looked and smelled. The worst thing I would have thought. We excpected it would be clean with great customer service. We didn't expect employees taking breaks being we were told they had a inspection the following day. We didn't even stay to get our drinks we left from being so disgusted. Sad to say our experience was the worst by far and won't recommend to our family and friends eat...
Read moreWe decided to stop in for a late dinner, the first time in awhile an I am sad to say it was a very disappointing experience.
To start off, when we went in, no less than 4 employees made eye contact without offering a greeting, or saying anything at all to us. We stood in the entry area waiting for at a minimum of 10 minutes with no acknowledgement what so ever. At this point we were discussing leaving and our options when someone finally came to the front and seated us.
After being seated we waited yet again before finally someone stopped and a seemingly friendly waiter came and asked if we had been offered drinks. At this point we're at 15-20 minutes so at least it's a start.
After getting our drinks and placing our order the food came alout ( apx 30 minutes at this point) at least our order was correct but we needed extra condiments so we tried unsuccessfully to catch our waiter finally giving up and dealing with what we had. My boyfriend tried his chocolate milk and it was watery and not drinkable so a waste of the $3 which yet again we are unable to catch anyone to get it replaced.
In the end our waiter only stopped long enough to drop the check, we finally got to complain about the service and the milk both of which seems to fall on deaf ears with the waiter and after waiting another 10 minutes for a manager to show up that never happened we left the amount of the check on the table and gave up.
I have contacted the IHOP customer service via email and will update once I've spoken with them in this paragraph.
Tldr: poor customer service, long wait times, horrible tasting milk, even more waiting, abysmal food portions. Overall absolutely...
