Ordered the Villa Palermo pizza and Veggie Combo. The portion sizes are generous. The pizza was lacking - the ingredients and cheese were as expected, good, not great, and definitely cooked right... but, the audacity to put hardly any sauce most of the crust is unforgivable. One can see a rim of baked-in sauce around the perimeter of the pizza, but check the other photo for side view of a slice. Couldn't even say what the sauce tasted like. I had to add ketchup! (yeah, that's right - eeeeew) The veggie combo - mushrooms, zucchini, cauliflower, and onion rings - turned out to be breaded (I should have guessed, but it didn't state so on the menu) and, in my case, overly deep fried and oily - to the point where the onion was basically caramelized/mush and everything tastes the same - like oily breading. I gave it 3 stars bc the pizza is decent-ish. However, I'm very unlikely to reorder. This place is always very busy, so I'm guessing others have better experiences. I often pass by here and wanted to give it a try.

I never thought I was going to write a bad review of a business. I wanna start by explaining that I’ve been a loyal client to this business, usually I order once or twice a month. Today definitely will be the last , I have taken so many rude comments from the owner. He has no management experience, super rude and unprofessional. First issue with him , order was completely wrong I called back he showed his frustrations on the phone saying he was short staff and was the only one working that day and was tired of the business after 2 additional hours of wait I got my order correctly. Second issue I order two different pizzas one arrived fine I called back and asked about my second pizza he apologized saying a new pizza man dropped my pizza but I was never inform until the driver arrived. Again 1 hour later I got my pizza . And finally today I called to place an order (remember I been a loyal customer ) he should know that by now! So I try to place an order, when paying with my debit card over the phone he ask for my zip code upon giving it to him he noticed it was a zip code from another city he request my full billing address immediately. I refused I didn’t feel comfortable, so I mention I had my debit card in hand and a driver license to prove I am the owner he insisted , he mention he is getting screwed by clients ordering with credit cards . I ask to have my order deliver and I’ll pay cash . I’m currently in the process of moving this is why I have a diferente zip code . Now I remember my other debit card still has my current address so I call him back . He was horrible still asking for my new address I told him , “ Sr the credit card I’m paying now has the same address your delivering to “ After not making him comprehend, I made sure he knew how disappointed I was I , and that he had lost a loyal customer . Everyone else there is awesome . Except the owner oh by the way I have an audio...

Edit: I went from 2 stars to 1. Now I can forgive a bad experience when ordering out but what I don’t understand is why everything is significantly cheaper on third party sites like grub hub and door dash. And by significantly I mean my order thru the restaurants site was 52$ and on grub hub would’ve been 29$ before tip. What the heck. The most annoying part is grub hub would have refunded my money for the bad food. Oh and I googled the distance I am from the restaurant. My apartment is .9 miles away from the restaurant. A 6 min drive….I’m unreasonably angry about these revelations

My fiancé placed an order for delivery. It took 2 hours for an x large thin crust pizza and a salad. Salad was terrible (already had low expectations for a pizza place salad but this didn’t even make sense) and the pizza was luke warm when it arrived. I knkw it won’t be out the oven hot , but I live less that a mile and a half from them. It was like it sat on the oven for an hour before anyone remembered it was a delivery. I tried calling because I wanted to return the items and get refunded but no one answered. Pizza probably would’ve been ok but im not willing to risk 50$ a second time. Overall a common theme that appears in the reviews over the past two years is, 1)poor service and subpar food 2) management not taking customer complaints seriously and 3) refusing to refund or fix the problem. Stick to JB Alberto’s, they atleast fixed my order the one time they...

My wife and I were in the mood for some pizza and, unsatisfied by other places around us that we previously ordered from, decided to order from Villa Palermo. We decided to throw caution to the wind despite some of the negative reviews, and placed our order for a pepperoni pizza.

The driver arrived right on time, which was great. Things were off to a good start. I put the box down on the counter, opened the lid, and discovered one of the most poorly topped pizzas I've ever seen. Seriously, look at the accompanying picture. How could any one look at that before it went in the oven and think that was a well put together pizza? Honestly, my 5 year old does a better job of putting toppings on the pizza when we make it at home. I called my wife in to look at what was in the box, and neither one of us could stop laughing, which is not the reaction any restaurant should want first time customers to have when looking at their food.

After the laughter subsided, we ate some of the pizza and were not at all impressed. It was just okay. Not bad, but nothing special, either. The pepperoni was also much too salty. At least the liter of RC that came with the pizza was fresh and good, so the experience wasn't a complete disappointment. All that said, I doubt we'll be ordering from Villa Palermo again, unless we're really desperate...
