Angus Grill & Cantina — Restaurant in Rogers

A few years ago I saw a viral image of raw chicken floating around Facebook. Someone had proclaimed that they were served undercooked chicken and that they had a horrible experience with both food and staff. It was because of this post that I steered clear of the restaurant, and I have to tell you, I have made one HUGE mistake!

The ONLY reason I gave this restaurant a chance tonight is because tonight's weather called for patio sittin', and this place has one of the best patios.

Our waitress, Diana, provided 5-star service. She was prompt, courteous, and she was 2 steps ahead of everything we needed. She brought us salt, pepper, limes, and hot sauce without asking, she offered to move us inside if we got too cold, and she offered to refill our beers multiple times, even after we closed our tab! She also offered to get us more chips, salsa, and water after we closed! They lit the fire to keep us warm, and the manager, Kevin, came by TWICE just to see how we were doing!

Our food was fully cooked and delicious. It came out quickly, exactly how we ordered it, and it was all very reasonably priced!

AND they have TOWERS of margaritas and beer, which we will be going back to try next time! This place is a big win, and should definitely be given a shot by everyone in this area! According to Diana, the chicken experience occurred before this restaurant changed owners and the menu. If that is the case, I hope the new owners consider changing the name. This restaurant needs to be washed clean of it's former reputation and given a name that shouts to the public that it's Mexican food. I understand that it says "grill and cantina" under Angus, but the public only sees "Angus" and likely believes it serves steak or burgers like I did.

If you try out this restaurant and love it, please give them a great review and tell everyone you know. They deserve to be flooded...

We used to frequent this restaurant 2-3 times a month. However, the last few times, we have been disappointed. The last couple of times, service was extremely slow. Tonight, service was timely, however, they brought the wrong meal. We went here to have a celebration dinner. We ordered the prime rib, and our son ordered the Promenade Strip. They brought out 2 Promenade Strips. At this time, the waitress told us, that they were out of the prime rib, but that they would "Make things right." At this point, we assumed that they would comp the meal. We cut the steak in half, and I had started eating the veggie side. The manager, then came over, and informed us, that they would still charge us half price for the meal we did not order. We then said that then we would not eat it, and would just leave. The young rude man, came over, and stated that he was the owner. He said that whether we ate it or not, he would still charge us half of the meal, being that we "touched it". When we refused, he threated to call the police. My husband told him to go ahead. He did not. Instead, he called his parents (the real owners of the restaurant). In the end, my husband paid for our son's meal and drink, and the "owner" said that the trouble wasn't worth the $20 of the meal, so he did not charge us. We will not return to Angus again. We are generally very understanding, but to be treated this rudely, regarding their mistake is...

Update: Went back and the second time was a much better experience.. Service was great and food was good.. Thank you Cynthia for making up for the bad service we had the first time..The only reason for the four stars was because some of the staff didn't always seem that professional...

This was our first time going. We ordered seafood tacos with blackened mahi mahi and ribeye steak fajitas. Our order was put in at 6:49 and we didn't get it until 7:29. This was after 3 other tables (2 that had 6 people at them) that was seated after us received their food. One of them ate and was done even before we got ours. They tried to tell us it was because of my mahi mahi and it took longer to cook. I don't get how that was because not only was my tacos and rice cold when I got it I ordered a second order of them to go and got it in 5 minutes. I asked how I got it so fast if they took 40 minutes to cook the first time and she said they were ready this time, not sure how they knew I was going to order them again. All they did was apologize and even after they stated they would tell the manager, the manager did not come over and or try to fix...
