This afternoon, a good friend and myself made the regrettable decision to enter our local Chili's for a dining experience. Upon arriving, we entered what seemed like a mortuary waiting room converted to the sports bar. We were greeted by the hostesses who asked if we wanted a table, we declined and sat at the bar instead. Although there was almost nobody in the restaurant, service was still slow.
We started with a drink order, and although there was only three people at the bar including ourselves It still took almost 10 minutes to receive our drinks. By the time we received our drinks, we were ready to order. I got the order of Texas cheese fries and my friend ordered the six-piece crispy chicken tenders. When the food arrived about 10 minutes later, the six-piece crispy chicken order had become a four piece. As it turns out, the six-piece order have been given to somebody on the other side of the restaurant at a table. The Texas cheese fries were rubbery and the cheese was overly salty and otherwise flavorless. The chicken tenders and fries were about what you could expect from a Cisco supplier, frozen food thrown into a fryer and served with no seasoning. The french fries were likely oh my microwaved. Additionally, the chicken tenders were found to be rubbery in consistency and smelled of kitty litter. I had ordered the El nino Margarita, which was light on alcohol but not overly dissatisfying.
My friend had ordered a Long Island iced tea which was made incorrectly and very light on spirits. He finished the first and then ordered a second, which was made completely differently than the first. After being served, we were addressed by the bartender and told that she had put a substance into the cocktail and she was unaware of what the substance actually was. So essentially my friend was being experimented on. A mango syrup and that she was allergic to Mango and did not want to try it herself or have somebody else on the staff try it to confirm whether or not it was mango or sour mixture. Just when we thought our afternoon couldn't get any more mid.
We finally had some excitement when a lovely homeless-looking gentleman sat down next to me and began talking to me. He started the conversation with "Can I can I ask you a weird question?" Obviously, when somebody asks me this question I always assume it's going to go in a strange direction but I was bored so I thought I would entertain this oddball. He then proceeded to ask me where he could buy cocaine. He claimed he was from Santa Cruz and before he had left to come up North, his girlfriend had shoved all of his cocaine into the toilet and flushed it down. I told him that he was asking the wrong people, and warned him that buying cocaine up here would probably not be in his best interest and most likely would be laced with fentanyl. He thanked me for the reality check and went about his business.
We promptly decided to leave the establishment after this interaction and decided we're never coming back again. We came expecting a trailer park experience and we were not disappointed. Lowered expectations, when you set the bar on the floor you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWorst service I have received in a long time š. As a formal Chili's Server, I know how guests should be treated and taken care of. After we were seated we had our drink order taken after only about 5 min. š. 20 min. go by still no drinks š. We flag someone down and let them know that we haven't received our drinks or our chips and salsa. So finally after waiting 30 min. We finally received our drinks, but still no chips š. The Server after setting our drinks on the table asked us if we were ready to order and we let her know yes and ordered. 10 min later we received our queso dip, but still no chips and salsaš. So we sat there and stared at the queso dip for 10 min before we finally received our chips and salsa. We were starving. Finally something to eat after nearly sitting for an hour. 10 min after that 90% of our order showed up and my wife's order was wrong š. 15 min go by before we see our Server and finally get her attention. We let her know about my wife's order was wrong and we were still missing a couple items. She let the manager know and the manager came to our table and let us know he would be comping our dinner 50% offš. Finally brought the rest of our food out and fixed my wife's order and we again had to flag our server down so that we could order desert. The entire night our server never ever checked up on us once, we had to constantly flag her down if we needed something, very unacceptable... Then to top it all off my 2 year old projectile vomits all over the table and underneath the table. Our Server comes to our rescue and starts cleaning it all up, so instead of leaving her no tip like I was planning, I ended up tipping her 25% since she had to clean up the vomit...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe only thing that was good was the boneless wings husband got. I wish I got those too. We wasted $50 bucks and he was the only one that really ate, mine was terrible. It had no flavor and the salad she brought me tasted like mayo. The waitress was a snob. I didn't return my food because every time I asked her for something or said something was wrong she rolled her eyes at me and always made a noise to let us know she was annoyed. I have never had a waitress act like this and if I wasn't so tired from traveling I would have said something to her or asked for the manager but WOW. The waitress was a tall lady in her 40s that was a dark blonde. I'm hoping she was just having a bad day and doesn't treat other people like that, especially because having a good attitude always gets you better tips. I was going to leave $20 bucks as a tip because we were on vacation. Plus my husband and I both know from experience how hard and under paid waitresses usually are and we try to give back a little bit when we can. With how she acted we only have her 7 dollars on a $50 tab which is still a decent tip but still she really didn't deserve anything with how we were treated. I was trying to be hopeful that she was just maybe having an off day. The other thing I was upset about was that she or someone took the game tablet away without asking. I went to the bathroom and my husband was watching the game and didn't notice it being taken. When I got back I asked him why he had it taken away because we were playing it, he had no idea it was taken. It wasn't that big of a deal but it would of been nice if she had asked if we...
