On July 9th of 2024 I ordered a meal to be delivered via uber eats. Funds and fees were extracted SOP from my bank account. 2 months later, I ordered through Uber Eats again but not for Jim and NIcks but 2 other restaurants in Rome. The next morning, I checked my account to make sure all was good, and noticed a $62.98 charge in addition to the charges for the other 2 restaurants. Upon investigation, the aberrant charge was for Jim and NIcks. I did not receive and food from Jim and NIcks on this September date, bc I did NOT order Jim and NIcks on this date. The first and only order for Jim and NIcks was back in July. This was an unauthorized charge. Uber eats pulled the funds from my account, and the way it works, they pay the vendor/restaurant for the food. So, Jim and NIcks had been paid by Uber Eats for food they did not deliver. I tried to go through WF to recover the funds, and they said I had to go through Uber Eats. Ive tried to contact UE but didnt get anywhere(cant talk to anyone on the phone). I went into J&N to see if they could help. The manager there basically refused and kept tellilng me like a robot to go through UE. At this point I was just looking to have J&N give me the food that I know they were paid for instead of reimbursing funds- well I asked the manager to check receivables on the date for the false charge, but she refused to assist. Again, like a robot kept directing me to UE. So, I'm still out $62.98 that nobody wants to help me recover. I did not order this food, and did not then ever receive this food. These funds were taken from my bank account and Wells Fargo wont help- they pass me to UE, UE is like talking to a brick wall. You literally are talking to a robot going through UE fraud dept. and lastly, where you would expect a little human touch at a restaurant, it was like talking to another robot. She refused to check receivables to verify the charge and payment to the restaurant so she could rectify this for me. So BEWARE all you Uber Eats users. Beware,- Jim and NIcks is ok with taking money from you for food that they have been paid and NEVER deliver and refuse to provide any kind of empathetic customer service to help resolve. I know its only 62 bucks, but its just wrong - Its the...
Read moreVery disappointing. The only reason I came here instead of Blossom Hill was because I wanted some ribs. Gross..1/2 rack, hard on the outside and covered in fat..... rib meat is what I wanted! The baked potato was brownish and had that "leftover" taste, wasn't even hot enough to melt the butter and cheese. Young lady at the register was very nice. She was very new and had to call for others to help her, who would immediately walk away..... even though she continued to need help. She didn't know what beers they had, nor a list to review to communicate with guests. Not her fault, but to whomever is in charge..... these folks need to be trained so that your guests can be attended to properly. I wanted the ribs ala carte, but was told I had to purchase a plate, of which is was never informed I would be paying 2.99 extra for the baked potato and salad. So not only did I get old baked potato and a salad that I didn't want (didn't eat either, btw), I paid $6 extra dollars without being informed. Now mind you, I would pay $60 for something if it is what I wanted and worth it... the money is not the issue.... but I do expect to get what I pay for! No one ever came over to check on us... period. I had to call for someone to come over. When I tried to explain my concerns, she basically defended the products as to being the way their ribs always are, and the potatoes are always that way and were definitely fresh. She didn't offer to get a manager involved for the issue she was very inept at dealing with. Another tip for leadership.... that young lady needs to learn the "art of recovery" when dealing with an unhappy guest. I don't blame her at all, she was doing what she thought was best. But where are the managers?? 3 young girls grouped up at the counter, chatting away and paying us no attention at all. Wow! Who is running this show??? You should go to Blossom Hill and see if they can assist you with your training and customer service. You won't see...
Read morePhenomenal food, beautiful design, great atmosphere and stellar service. The commitment to making everything fresh and from scratch, patience in it's preparation and cooking, and overall attention to detail is unmistakable not only the the moment you walk into the restaurant, but especially when they set your plate in front of you. And the first bite? Heaven!!! Easily the best BBQ and sides (i.e. trimmings in JNN lingo) I've experienced from an actual restaurant, if not the best, period. And as a bonus for those with celiac disease or some level of gluten intolerance, quite of few of their offerings are gluten free and are identified as such on the menu. My father and I sat at the bar and dined with Elise, and as others have said in their reviews, she was great. Actually, all of the employees seemed very polite, accommodating, engaged and just happy to be there. We were also fortunate to strike up a conversation at the bar with their President and COO, Brian. He was sitting beside us and had overheard our compliments about everything to Elise, later thanking us and introducing himself as we were checking out. After telling us about their commitment to what is a VERY detailed and labor intensive process, I mentioned the atmosphere and particularly the engagement and upbeat attitude of the staff. He appreciated hearing that, and said it was due to the fact that they paid their workers significantly more than the industry average. A career in the restaurant business is not an easy one, so this was great to hear as a someone who was in it for some 8 years earlier in life. The fact that the employees were being well-compensated was certainly evident in every aspect of our experience. Needless to say, we're very happy to now have a JNN here in Rome, and are already looking forward to our next visit to continue making our way through their impressive menu....
