Service seemed to be fine considering they were crowded from being newly opened, and really can not say anything about the atmospere considering it was drive thru only. But I was greatly disappointed with the food, and especially the price for the quality of the food that was given. I ordered the slaw dog, chili cheese burger and onion rings. The slaw dog was pitiful with a very small wiener, and very little slaw. The chili cheese burger was dry , and the meat patty was thin. The onions were ok, but I have had a lot better(sonic), and worse(burger king). The slaw dog was 3.00, and it was worth maybe 1.75, and that is me being nice. The chili cheese burger was 4.53, and it was worth 2.00, and again that is me being extremely nice. As you can tell If I could put a value on the food I would say it was probably worth half what they were charging for it. if not less.. Please do not waste...
Read moreWe were so excited to have The Varsity in Rome! However, we were sadly disappointed in the quality of the food. Burgers were dry, not seasoned and the smooshed. The bun was flatter than a pancake. I ordered Glorified Bacon Cheeseburgers. It had two very small pieces of shreds of lettuce that were almost invisible in the mayo. Fries were greasy and soggy. No seasoning. Onion rings were a great size, but also greasy and soggy. The cheese dog had very little cheese on it. The Orange Frost and Chocolate shakes were great. The customer service was awesome. Basil was patient and friendly. Hope the quality of the food improves as they smooth out their processes. Wasn’t worth the money spent...
