This episode with Verizon Rome has been a nightmare, and I am just asking for help to resolve so many issues! Twice I went to store to ask for help with sorry performance of my phone. Both times I was met with a table full of people scrolling on phones and talking and did not get up to help me at all! Once I left, the second time I kept standing there and someone finally came and literally led me to the door out and said I just had a cheap phone that needed more memory..... Since that time, my phone met an untimely demise when it got crushed and is inoperable. I went to store in Rome and again was met with a table full of stares and no one got up. There was one young man assisting customers on other side of room. Finally a guy got up and when he saw my broken phone, said "oh no"...he was kind, but he did not know what he was talking about! He told me I wasn't eligible for the promotion running right now where all get a free phone with 36 month service. I told him no iPhone. I wanted as close ti phone as I had...he then told me I could go to Walmart and get the same phone for a lot less! He went to the back to check on something and came back and said here is phone you need. I said OK and he had contract drawn up already! Said it would be 96 dollars pr month fir phone, service, and insurance....but then he said I needed to take old busted phone and get it repaired before new phone can be set up...so I took it to wefixit and two weeks later I'm still waiting on part to come in. Meanwhile, back at Verizon, I went back and there was one very nice young man who offered to help me! He said the one who sold me the new phone and all that was no longer at this store and apologized many times for his apparent lack of knowledge. I wish I had gotten his name, but he helped me very much. However, since that time, I have received two different bills from Verizon, one for 106 dollars pr month due immediately, and then 126 per month due on the first! I paid this month's bill the day I bought the phone! I have repeatedly responded to AI and Gemini that I don't want their service and I just can't get this phone straightened out! I started to go back to Rome store today in hopes of getting same representative as before, but wonder if he will still be there? Should I go back to store and try to straighten all this out or would a phone call to accounts be better as I have a ways to drive? I was told again that for the next thirty six months, I am to pay 96 dollars or 106pr month! But it keeps going up! Why didn't I qualify for promo? Sorry to vent, but as I said:a nightmare except fir the one helpful...
Read moreI've had Verizon for over 15 years on multiple accounts and quite frustrated now. I purchased a new phone and went to get a SIM card at this Rome location. The lady there put it in the new SIM card and got it all set up but as we drove away I noticed she activated the phone under my sons line, all his messages and emails were coming in. Upon returning to the store her brilliant idea was to swap my sim card and his since they were both G6's and then she could fix it in her system easier. She proceeds to take my sons SIM card out and she GETS THE SIM card tray STUCK. She then hands it back to him and says "sorry I cant' do anything with this now". So here we are with it half out, jammed and we have to be the one to fix it. It would not slide in so trying to take it out it out it breaks into 3+ pieces and leaves some inside. Her 2nd brilliant thing to offer is "sorry, we don't have tech support but since you(me) have an upgrade we can do that to your sons line and switch your upgrades". Ok, so now we have to pay for a new phone. But wait, I have insurance. We were then offered to pay the $150 deductible to get it fixed. When SHE/VERIZON staff took the tray out, it was HER idea to solve her first MISTAKE and then she gives us a broken phone for her 2nd MISTAKE. Verizon 1-800 line wasn't helpful and told us that we would have to go back to the store. Get this, upon all these mistakes from her she finally gets my card to activate under my line (she claimed). We get home and realize ITS NOT, she did the same thing again. THREE STRIKES. Under my sons account again. Completely incompetent and only offered to up-sale us or use our insurance as a fix HER MISTAKE. We did get a new tray and his card does read but now his SD storage card won't, probably because it ruined the pins when we removed the tray. Now I am Considering taking all my businesses to...
Read moreChoose any other company but this one. After being a customer for 8 years, you'd think they wouldn't play games when you're trying to return a defective item just outside of the 30-day window when the device literally failed during normal use of the phone like it was made for. Every single time you call, you get sent to a call center run by foreigners who don't understand half of what they are telling you. Then you get blatantly lied to several times by this call center when you're simply trying to get your phone fixed. I would have never bought the Z-flip phone if I knew how shady this company would be at trying to get it fixed. As soon as my stuff is paid off, I'm leaving Verizon for good. They have no loyalty to their customers, and they honestly could careless of the products you buy from them work or not. This company is HORRIBLE to their long term customers.
Edit to respond to the "owner": There's no need. After wasting 8+ hours and time at work, to not be reimbursed for this, I don't want any extra help or yall to look into this issue because your company won't do a damn thing but repeat the same lies I've been told in the past. If you wanna fix things, stop outsourcing your help to other countries and stand by the shit you sell!! And understand that some policies can be broken, TO TAKE CARE OF THE PERSON BUYING YOUR STUFF AND PAYING YOU MONTHLY!!! Unless you plan to reimburse me for my wasted time and credit my wireless account accordingly, sit down and shut up with the "I'll escalate this for further review" bullshit when we all know NOTHING is going to be done about ANYTHING your company...
