The new hires have really made me rethink about not going here, i got back from vacation and stopped in and since it has been a good experience stopping in everyday when specific people are working, I usually go here everyday depending on if I have time at lunch or when I'm heading home. I've noticed some new hires that are making this place feel uplifting when you come in and don't have nasty attitudes. A new face, mixed woman with a tattoo on her hand who actually stops and engages in conversations with me when she can and took the time to tell me options for things to substitute in my smoothie, she's there in the mornings when I stop in and I've seen her once in the afternoon. The rest of the morning shift are great and do not have nasty attitudes like some of the workers in the afternoon. Another new hire white lady in the morning very professional quick and kind. I will say there is really good workers but on some days I notice they are stress when working with others who are just standing there and not fully working as a team with them. I gave 5 stars for the good workers but I want to mention I stopped in last week after work and seen the worker who actually engages in a conversation with me and we chatted for a bit I noticed most of the workers standing there talking doing nothing while this lady kept making orders and still talking to me I could see how over it she was with the team but she was still professional and kind to me and the other customers still in the store waiting. I think some more new hires will really help this place out.
This place is such a waste of time and I would advise anyone not to come here. First, our order was completely messed up. We ordered the plant based protein flatbread and a three cheese quesadilla but we received a grilled chicken flatbread as well as a grilled chicken quesadilla. Not sure how anyone could mess up a simple order this badly. As a vegetarian, I looked forward to seeing something with plant based protein on a menu and was extremely upset when I received things with grilled chicken. Once we realized our order was messed up, we decided to call the restaurant to hopefully get the correct sandwiches delivered. We were on the phone for 5 mins and there was no answer. So we were forced to drive back to the restaurant. Once we were there we were greeted by the manager who just wanted to fix the problem and cared nothing about customer service. She quickly took the sandwiches and receipt from us. We waited there for about 12 mins just to get our order fixed. You’d think there would be some urgency when you have customers waiting for an order that was already messed up? Even if a place is busy, which it was, when a compliant is received it should be more of a priority to fix it. There was no sincere apology or empathy received from her. The sandwiches we received had very skimpy ingredients and were a lot smaller. There was about 1/8th of a spoonful of avocado on the whole flatbread. But we had already lost about an hour out of our day due to the other inconveniences so we decided to just take it and leave. I had never been to a tropical smoothie cafe but I have absolutely no interest to go back to one. It’s super disappointing because the menu has vegetarian options which is relatively hard to find...
Read moreI usually enjoy coming here but today was very different. My office ordered smoothies. There were only 4 so it wasn’t a huge order. When I walked in I was greeted with attitude. I stood to the side patiently waiting for my orders. I was told ohana breeze was discontinued so I would be getting it without the blue. No sorry no offer to make something else just take it or not. I was picking up 3 orders. She gave me my first order and then told me to leave. I told her I was waiting on my other 2 orders. She then told me that my order they were out of stock and I had to cancel it online. I went online to cancel and it told me I couldn’t cancel. She told me oh well get out. You have been giving me nothing but attitude since you walked in. I literally only spoke when they asked the names on what I was picking up. I didn’t give attitude until she told me to get out without giving me what I paid for or giving my money back. She told me she was a manager and her name was Shakar. I refused to leave and called another store to see if they could offer some help as to what I do now. Customer service was awful and we as customers have no way to handle when the store refuses to help. I will not be going back to this store again. I would hope someone from the store / district manager would reach out and advise how to handle a situation like this. I no longer feel comfortable placing online orders with tropical smoothie knowing that if they are out of something I have to fight to get my money back.
