There are so many excellent points to make about Leonardo's Italian Grille. For one, this is my first time visiting. My family was looking for a restaurant near the airport and Leonardo's popped up on Google. We decided to give it a try. Seriously folks, I have eaten at many Italian restaurants in eastern Michigan and there are only three that have matched the flavor and quality of Italian cooking that I grew up in, equally matched the flavors of having visited Italy. These criteria are hard to match, and Leonardo's easily fits into my top 3. The other two restaurants are Gregario's in Wyandotte and Moro's in Allen Park. From the bread to the main course, each dish is flavorful and pleasing to the eye. The atmosphere is a constant hum of people having conversations and glasses clinking just as you would expect at a large family gathering or cosy street side restaurant in Tuscany. Their marinara and meat sauces taste like my Italian grandmother's and the sauce I make at home. Simple where the flavor of the tomatoes comes through not competing with the rest of the dish. The chicken parmesan was prepared properly and seasoned perfectly. The pasta al dente as it should be. My wife had the lasagna with multiple layers of pasta and cheese which was baked in the oven. My youngest had the kids pizza. The crust was amazing and the pizza didn't last long. My oldest daughter who is the pickiest eater asked for the spaghetti with the sauce on the side. She started by dipping the pasta on her fork into the bowl of sauce but soon poured the whole thing in! She's a bellwether for good food and I knew this was the right place. How can you go wrong with delicious food that has great quality in value. To take the family to McDonald's costs almost as much as a four course meal, why not spend the money on something delicious?

Oh, let me tell you about this Italian feast we had at Leonardo's! Imagine walking into a cozy, candlelit place that whispers, "You're gonna eat well tonight!" That was Leonardo's vibe from the get-go. We kicked things off with the chicken tetrazzini and the carbonara. Oh boy, these dishes were like a hug from an Italian grandma you never knew you had. Rich, creamy, and so decadently delicious, you'd think every bite was dipped in a little piece of heaven. Now, I'm not one to get all fancy with wine, but we went for a bottle of basic Chardonnay. Basic? More like a stealthy charmer! Nicely chilled, it was the perfect sidekick to our creamy pasta marvels, making every sip feel like a refreshing dive into a crisp, cool pool on a hot summer day. But wait, there's more! The salads, oh the salads! Fresh as the morning dew, with dressings that screamed "I'm homemade, and I'm proud!" You know, it's that touch of love in the dressing that sets a good salad apart from a great one. And Leonardo's? They're serving great ones, my friend. So, if you find yourself wandering around, looking for a spot that feels like a warm Italian embrace, waltz into Leonardo's. Trust me, it's not just a meal; it's an experience that'll leave your taste buds dancing the tarantella long after you've left. Buon appetito!

So unfortunately I have a PDF version of what happened tonight. To sum it up small...

I spoke with a male customer service rep around 7pm, never received order. He took the wrong phone number down or no number at all.

Called 9pm, spoke with a woman didn't like her tone was nasty and aggressive right out the gate, was told card was declined, that there was no phone number to call, then was told phone number was called which it wasn't. Tried explaining that the previous male representative said it was cleared, because he gave me a time frame of 30-40mins. Then told her didn't like her tone, dial it back a bit and we can act civil and have a nice conversation. Not even much after, was hung up on. Called again, demanded manager, asked for name, apparently was speaking to manager already. They are closing, they don't care about what happened, the card was declined even though offered another form of payment etc more issues and they were closing so didn't care. 3rd call in .... Demanded someone above her, told no one above her is in, owner isn't in, she wasn't giving out the owners personal number, o k what about business number? A schedule or time frame I can meet them at the business to discuss the issue? NOTHING.

Got absolutely nothing but rudeness from this woman no matter how patient I was. Why I call 2hrs later? 1hr for delivery and then another hour passed not realizing they were closing soon, and I know deliveries sometimes have issues. I was super patient waiting for my food.

I don't go to establishments randomly looking for an owner. If I can't contact them, then what just appear everyday at Leonardo's to find the owner?

This was just so unprofessional, so lack of customer service and on top of that multiple issues that could've been avoided. I won't be eating here ever again. My dad and me have went here for years no issues whatsoever but this just... yea, this just made...

I order from this place a couple months ago, I really enjoyed there pizza I ended up getting the jumbo party pizza meat lovers, it had all the toppings I wanted real ground beef, pepperoni, bacon, green peppers onions etc. It was alot on there til the point it was falling off the slice, it reminded me of Jerry's pizza on livernois in detroit. Long story short I really enjoyed the pizza and my company did too, so I decided to order again yesterday and have it delivered, and I ask for the same thing I got last time, but this time they were stingy with there toppings it wasn't loaded on the pizza like last time, plus the pizza was cold when I got it, so I called them to see of they could remake it like I had it before, the person on the phone told me that they can't remake my order and that they put enough toppings on the pizza, I explained to them that it wasn't made how I wanted, and that it was cold, I spent 51.00 dollars on a party pizza ,I should be able to have it made the right way, they refused to remake my order, I then proceeded to ask for the manager they told me that I was talking to the manager, I mentioned to them that I'm not happy with my order, and if it was any other resturant they would have remake my order with no problem, the manager proceeded to tell me that I should have went somewhere else rudely to me, this is the worst and first time I ever been treated like this, especially when I spending a large amount of money on their food. Just know if your order is mess up they will not fix the problem, absolutely the worst...
