Hop Union Gastropub Restaurant — Restaurant in Romulus

My family and I were in the middle of some flight debacles and had some downtime to eat lunch. The restaurant had just opened and there was nobody else there at the time. The server was incredibly friendly and helpful, and she understood our day was stressful and we really needed some beers! What really blew me away here was the accommodation they made for my meal. I'm vegan and I know they don't really have anything marked on the menu as such. I asked about getting a pasta dish with veggies without the cream sauce and made with a marinara instead. The server wasn't sure, so the chef came out and talked with me to understand exactly what I needed. And when it came out, it was absolutely delicious! I was staying at the Wyndham hotel when me and my 2 children were looking for food they told us about a restaurant across the street opened late , I called first and the phone just rang for 20 mins until someone even answered. then he kept me on hold for 10 minutes came back on the phone and apologized for the wait. I decided to come and eat in instead with little material I packed. Johnthan who I spoke with over the phone was our server which was interesting. he was attentive to my children and even offered a free dessert for whoever colored the best picture on their kids menu. So... we were looking forward to trying this restaurant/bar. We sat ourselves and were quickly notified that the bartender/server was the only person on staff. She made it clear that she wouldn't really be able to help is since upper management only staffed her. We thought "Ok no problem we can get our order ready and help her out, so all she had to do was deliver it" and at that point we waited by the bar awhile to give our order and she ignored us other than to remind us that she was alone.
