Dave & Buster's Roseville — Restaurant in Roseville

1st night out without my kid and was excited to have a drink. Haven’t been to this place since before they closed down for Covid so was looking forward to enjoying some food and playing some games. My wallet was stolen so unfortunately I didn’t have my ID on me. I showed the server a pic of my ID and she said that they couldn’t serve me cause the pic could be fake. I understood, everyone else at my table were served alcohol. I’ve shown a pic of my ID at other places and never had an issue but again I understand if they need to abide by their corporate policies. I asked to speak to a manager and I told him that I had a paper from the DMV which was my temporary license and asked if they could use that and they said no. Which I thought was kind of dumb since CA considers that a valid DL. So then I asked that if they think that’s fake too I could log into my DMV account and show them that my DL is being processed and they still refused to serve me. At this point I was annoyed but again tried to be understanding. My husband kindly offered to drive all the way home to get my passport and bring it back because he felt bad knowing I was really looking forward to a night out with friends. So after a 30+ min wait to get seated I had to wait for my husband to drive 30 mins and get back with my passport and his drink sat and melted on the table. I had only had breakfast that day because I had been super busy so I was starving. Again not D&B fault so just tried to be patient. The whole table ordered their food at the same time and my friends food came first and they ate their food and my food didn’t come until 30 mins later. So at this point it’d been 1.5hr from arriving, and I finally had my passport. Server didn’t come up til about 10 mins later and asked if we needed anything. My friend asked for something and before I could said can I order a drink the server walked off so I had to wait another 10 mins for her to come back and I can finally order my drink, by this time everyone had already eaten their food and had about 2-3 drinks. While we were waiting a server showed up to our table with a bunch of food and the server noticed that he was brining it to the wrong table and hollered at him that he was at the wrong table. As he walked off with the wrong food he made a rude comment about his coworkers. I have never experienced a server talk bad about another server ever in any other restaurant so I thought that was kinda weird. Our server then came up to us and I finally order a Long Island and after another 10 mins of waiting it finally arrived and it tasted like lemonade…. I didn’t say anything and just drank my drink. Kinda upset we went through all this trouble for a nasty drink so then I don’t order anymore drink. By this time everyone is eager to go play cause they’ve been waiting on me to get my drink. And I thought to myself, well the night can’t get any worse so I might as well enjoy some games.

Guess I was wrong… I had a deal from T-Mobile for $20 worth of game play for $12.99. I go up to the host and ask if I can use this here and she said yes so she walks me through the process and I pay for the deal and attempt to redeem it then they tell me I can’t. So I ask for a manager again and they pretty much tell me I did something wrong and they aren’t able to redeem it even though the host walked me through every step. At this point I’m fed up and just wanna go play so I said okay whatever it’s only a couple bucks I’m saving so I don’t have to use the deal. Then I asked if I could at least get the $12.99 I paid already added to my card and they pretty much said they couldn’t do anything about it because it was purchased through a 3rd party. So now I have to spend even more money to add to my card and the vibes are DEAD. At this point I just wanna go home and regret leaving my kid. It seemed like management was very unwilling to help or cooperate. And all of the servers and hosts we interacted with seemed like they didn’t want to be there. We haven't been here in a while so we thought to give it a shot. Please don't take any of this as rude just see this out. It took roughly 10 minutes after we were seated to be seen by the waiter. We put in our drink order and appetizers order in when he approached. Ordered the Dip, Large Pretzel, Pizza Pita and ribs. Dip was overly oily, Large Pretzel was really good but the dipping sauce they forgot to warm up and came straight from the fridge so it was ice cold, Pizza Pita wasn't too shabby for the most part (we ate that all), and the ribs were just awful! I mean really bad. So dry and the bone was cold, so weird. After the young lady brought the appetizers out she said the waiter would be back shortly to order our food. But he had to go on break I'm guessing and forgot about us because it was another 35 minutes after we got our appetizers that he showed back up. Did apologise a bunch of times because he forgot and I get it things happen so not the end of the word. So at this point we now been there one hour and we just got our dinner order in. I ordered the Philly and the wife ordered the fish. Daughter got the Mac & cheese and my brother got a chicken sandwich I believe. The Philly was fine, wife's fish was burnt like somebody was angry at it, Mac & cheese was fine my daughter said, brother wasn't a fan of the sandwich and only ate a few bites. So could of been or and better just kinda a poor experience unfortunately. Also we never received or was asked if we would like our drinks topped off as well. After finishing dinner we again had to wait for the waiter because we never received the token cards we ordered and had to flag somebody to find him. We never complained and still tipped the gent 20%. He could be new or having a rough day and felt bad for him if that was the case. But D&B your management and training are what gives you this poor rating. It is obvious that whoever is in charge of this location doesn't have and inkling on how to manage a restaurant or it's employees. Zero food quality control and no floor manager to take care of its customers. We will not be coming back for a while. I hope that you can find somebody to help manage this...
