Introduction I am thoroughly impressed by my Lazy Dog experience. This is not a mom & pop hole-in-the-wall venue as I mention in my Google Guides profile but I also expand experiences to chain restaurants since not all chain / franchised business aren't all the same. Hence is why of my expanded reviews and my goal to alert my fellow Veterans and Military brothers and sister of businesses in appreciation that honor Military and Veterans with their discount. Not all chain locations do, but it is important to me to share.
Review: I first had a Lazy Dog experience in Downey, California location. That was a good experience for Dinner time.
My back story for trying Lazy Dog in Roseville is to scope out the Brunch menu, sample different food items for a possible Birthday Party venue for my wife. Needless to say, this venue will early accommodate a party of 50+ (relatives/ freinds). The price points for the Brunch items are comparable to most Breakfast / Lunch restaurant. The Brunch that we had to sample was delicious and unique.
For a party of 50+ x ($15 and some change)-the highest price approximately amounts to $600. Now I am planning providing a free round of Mimosa Flight samples (you'll see in the pictures) has 3 different fruit flavors in the flight (Pomegranate, Peach Nector & Orange Juice/ Grapefruit). Other foods were all good tasting. The Biscuits and Gravy, have big pieces of white sausage (not the typical type) that had basil & other spices that overpowers the taste.
The other breakfast / Lunch items were so delicious especially the Bananas Foster's French Toast. Don't need the syrup!!
The Breakfast Club meal is a biscuit sandwich (sunny-side Egg, thick Cheddar Cheese, crispy Bacon, Avocado slices). I would recommend if you are NOT wanting a messy situation, you can order the egg in any style. Side options are: Fruit or Fried Has Brown (is like a deep hash brown pocket).
The Egg and Avocado Toast, the eggs had melted cheese with a hint of Garlic Salt taste (the finish product seems kind of runny) and buttery. The toast had sprinkles of red pepper flakes. The taste when well together.
The Breakfast Burger (made to order, the egg made in any style). Hey its a Breakfast burger.
The Bananas Foster French Toast. Has at least 2 inches thick French toast, Caramel drizzle, Whipped Cream and of course.. Bananas with Maple Syrup on the side. Honestly, adding the syrup would be overkill. The dish was great.
Had to try the Donut Holes. It came with a side of Chocolate sauce. The exterior was light and crispy while the inside was soft and thick.
Our serving staff was accommodating, friendly and attentive. I give e this location Lazy Dog (Roseville) a total 5 Stars. Especially they honor Military and Veterans with a discount. Thank you Lazy Dog Roseville. You will definitely get more business (we are working with your event coordinator) for my wife's...

Ok...rest of my review...
We were seated and greeted immediately with a drink order.
Then soon after our food order.
We shared the coconut shrimp appetizer...6 large shrimp come on a bed of slaw with a light Asian dressing...it also comes with a red dipping sauce which is amazing...
The shrimp were cooked perfectly...the batter was light and not greasy at all...we loved it. As of June 14 2020 the cost 12.50
I ordered the wok fired calamari. If your looking for it to be battered and crispy with the plum sauce...it is not. It has a delicate batter that was somewhat soggy because if the plum sauce. The calamari was not rubbery...but very tender...i was just thinking it would be crispy for some reason..i suppose because every time I have ever ordered it...it has been battered fried like at bj's.
The sauce was good. It comes served over steamed rice for 12.95. It is a pretty good size portion. I liked it...but probably not order it again.
My daughter ordered the PBJ burger with onion rings. 13.95 for burger and extra 2.00 for onion rings.
Overall...great experience...great food...certainly will be back...
Read moreAlways review the itemized bill before adding a tip or paying in general. There were 3 of us for dinner at the Roseville CA location, where they attempted to charge us a tip without telling us. We received the device to enter our credit card for payment, and just to enter a tip (without noting a tip was already added). When we went to the itemized view, it already included a 20% tip. Had we not reviewed and selected a few buttons to see the actual bill, we would have double tipped. I was a former waiter and bartender through college, and have always tipped well. Upon reviewing the balance, the remaining total appeared unusually high. After switching to the itemized view, I discovered that a gratuity had already been applied to the bill. I immediately requested to speak with a manager for clarification.
When the manager arrived, her response was disappointingly unprofessional. She initially asked whether we had added the tip ourselves. When we explained that the gratuity was already included before we were prompted for an additional tip, she stated that there was a known “system glitch” and that their IT department was addressing it. When I asked why customers were not informed of this issue in advance, she replied that “it doesn’t always happen” and said she would remove the charge.
At no point did the manager offer an apology, show concern, or display a professional or courteous demeanor toward my family or me. Her defensive and dismissive attitude was deeply disappointing. I expressed that applying a tip without customer authorization could be considered a fraudulent charge, to which she responded in a...
