Cinemark Roseville Galleria Mall and XD — Local services in Roseville

As crazy as it sounds, going to the movies in an actual theater almost felt like a thing of the past. Especially with the COVID-19 pandemic causing lockdowns, closures, and lots of uncertainty. Not to mention, many of us have larger-than-life home theater setups in our homes with LED TV's in between 55" to 86" complete with surround sound and crystal clear picture quality. This adds to so many levels of convenience and can be a cost-cutting way to enjoy a quality movie in the comfort of your home.

But sometimes, you just have to enjoy that big screen theater experience. As crazy as this sounds, this was my first time at an actual theater since February 2020 (as I used to regularly go at least 5-7 times a year). And this was during the long antipated wait of seeing "Top Gun: Maverick" during the afternoon of Sunday 5/29/2022. This takes me on a trip to the mall where I went to the "Cinemark Roseville Galleria Mall and XD" theater.

This particular theater opened its doors for business during the fall of 2021 after a long anticipated wait. Since I purchased my tickets for this movie through the Fandango app, it simplified everything including choosing your time, seat, and type of movie experience. Since I wanted the best of the best sound quality, I chose the "XD" and "Luxury Loungers" option which offers more immersive audio, visually stunning technology, and added comfort.

As far as the theater itself, the main entrance is on the 2nd floor of the shopping mall. The easiest way to get here is to park at the multi-level parking structure while following the breezeway that says "Gallerial Mall Entrance". Once entering, you will see the theater directly on your left hand side. Once inside, you will find a ton of touchscreen stations where you can order your movie, redeem your Cinemark points, and purchase food.

This place definitely offers the full experience as they offer self-serve customizable soda machines, an endless amount of snacks & candy, popcorn in all sizes, and hot foods such as your typical nachos, hot dogs, burgers, and fries. However, this theater also offers adult beverages such as draft beers, wines, and even hard liquor. Everything is laid out well and is well executed. Not to mention, if you don't want to grab food here, you can purchase and eat food at the nearby food court prior to your movie.

As far as the theater itself, I was very impressed. The comfort was definitely above average while the luxury loungers offered buttons to recline your feet as well as providing a heat feature to warm your tush in case you're cold during the movie. My seat also had sizable cupholders and even trays in case you wish to rest your food and not put it on the floor. The sound quality is also amazing as the technology really made a lot of sound effects pop, especially during the Top Gun movie.

All in all, "Cinemark Roseville Galleria Mall and XD" is a very good theater with an above average experience. Many people have criticized the concession area being messy and parking but much of this is beyond their control. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cinemark Roseville Galleria Mall and XD for a night out at the movies, and I must say, it was an experience worth sharing. Still have yet to get to see a movie here sadly. The two different times we tried to see the movies here we ran into issues, both the same reason. We came on a Tuesday both times because that's when you guys run your movie promo for the reduced price tickets. We were not trying to see 3D or XD or anything in the special theaters because we know they aren't included is the special pricing. But apparently there are some movies on your list as you guys deem as a "Special Event"??? Nowhere does this "Special Even" show on your site. So two different movies we drove across town to come see were not part of your special pricing but actually the opposite. I guess it's my fault for not calling ahead? I've never run into this issue with any of the other theaters I've visited. I actually went to a different theater to go see one of the movies and it wasn't a "Special Event" and got to see it at the discounted rate. I mean your staff had zero idea too! They were all confused as to why it wouldn't discount the tickets and it wasn't until a second manager on duty knew what was going on before we were told why. It's not on your site and not on any of your kiosk booths. Staff was very kind though and went the extra mile to try and figure out the issue.
