After waking in I waited a few minutes for someone to seat me. There were no bartenders seen or any other staff members. I had a party of 5 and was the first to arrive. After being seated, Ari read me the drink menu and told me the el jefe margarita is the best and strongest. The rest of my group arrived, we ordered our drinks and food right away. The drink menu with all the specials wasn’t effective until tomorrow but they can still make the drinks, we were told. The table behind ours arrived after, ordered after, and left the same time we did. They received their drinks and food before we did. We had the same amount of people in our parties.
Our friend’s appetizer platters looked good and our shared opinion ring appetizer tasted good. We ordered the $2 Jose margaritas with sugar on the rims. We received 4 drinks and only one with the sugar rim. The main course. My husband’s bourbon steak was cook just as he requested. There were no complaints about the mushroom burger. The salmon meal; the salmon was dry and tough, she picked the whole piece of salmon up with her fork. The chicken tender meal was so greasy, it looked like it had been fried more than once. I put a napkin under hoping to soak it up but it didn’t help. I bit into the hard chicken “tender” but the grease was horrible. The chicken was dry and hard. The fries were good. Good seasoning and not overcooked. The baby back ribs were tiny, dry ,hard, and just a waste of time and effort. I bit into it hoping to taste juicy bbq ribs and couldn’t even bite the meat off the bone it was so hard and dry. We tried multiple times to alert Ari our waitress when she was around but we didn’t see much of her. When we did tell her about the ribs she said she doesn’t eat them because they don’t taste good. She took them back and they removed them from our order. Thank you. I thought about it and decided the tenders needed to go back too. So the manager came out and I explained and showed her the tenders. She asked if I wanted a replacement I replied no. She took $10 off for the tenders. My friend didn’t want to complain about her salmon. The lighting inside was very dim. The lighting outside was broke and there were no outdoor lights. One of the people we sat by complained about his handicapped wife tripping and falling because it was so dark. He used his headlights to help her get into the truck. Yes the tip was an insult but so was the service sometimes knowing when to keep your comments to...
Read moreMy children and l entered the restaurant and was told it would be a 10 minute wait. However, the wait was more like 25 minutes and the restaurant was half empty. Once seated the waitress was super busy and took 15 min to take our order. We visited the restaurant a little over a month ago and had the same issue. The active manager on that day issued me a free appetizer card for my next visit. I gave card to server upon ordering food and she accepted, however, after I was given appetizer she returned stating the coupon expired a week ago. I asked if they would please honor due to our inconveniences and was told the manager said no. My kids and l had to use restroom facilities at which the women’s and men’s per my 9 year old son were unclean. The women’s restroom had urine samples all around toilet, floors were visibly dirty, so were sinks along with a full trash. I’m an expecting mom and could not use facility, however, my children had to endure as I tried to keep them from exposure to excessive germs. Once we returned to our seats I asked server to send manager over. The manager approached the table with a blank look and asked what could she do for me? I began asking for my coupon to be honored, in addition to explaining the service wait time as well as condition of the restrooms. She seemed uninterested in my complaint and stated she would take something off but not full amount for appetizer. She explained that the wait time is for cooks to catch up on orders not capacity of restaurant. Also, that restrooms are cleaned according to a schedule. I asked her name and she avoided the question, but her tone and demeanor was not friendly or showing any concern. She didn’t seem to really care at all and defended every issue as if I was just complaining without reason. I later asked the server her name and she said it was Ms. Alisha the GM. Well, Ms. Alisha is not a good representative for Applebees. She needs customer service and management training. Not planning to return and I really like Applebees and the food. But the hospitality needs training and the place needs a...
Read moreWent to Applebees for some drinks and appetizers. I ordered a drink, which took about 20 minutes to arrive to the table. When the drink arrived I tasted it and it wasn’t made right. I’m not one to ask for drinks to be remade but this drink did not taste good. Asked our server to remake the drink. The server informed me the female bartender told her my drink could not be remade due to it having alcohol in it. Which I have never heard of before. The female bartender told me the only thing she could do would be to put my same drink back in the blender and reblend it. Of which my comment was how will that fix that the drink was made incorrect. The bartender brought my same drink back out and slammed the drink on the table and walked away. I then tried the drink, no changes. The bartender then came up to my table again and began raising her voice at me that the drink was made correct, and questioned me why I was not drinking it. Which was very rude!! I then asked to speak with a manager. A male manager came up to the table and I kindly asked for the drink to just be taken off my bill because they couldn’t remake the drink. The manager told me he could not take it off the bill because it was an alcoholic drink. I asked him what he could do to compensate, make a different drink or remake he drink I had. Of which he told me no he would not remake it nor take it off my bill or make me something different. Finally after back and forth he finally said “you know what fine I’ll make a new one, and I’ll make it myself” Time goes by and he brings the drink to my table and slams it on the table. Proceeds to stand at my table with his arms crossed and say “well are you not going to try it” of which I said yes I was. The manager proceeded to stay at the table until I sipped my drink and said “is this finally to your liking” All in all this was unacceptable behavior by management, to yell and raise their voices at a customer. No one even introduced themselves with names but this occurrence was between 7/8pm on Friday...
