This used to be one of my favorite chains but the service hasn't been good for some time, now, which has become more obvious because the prices have gotten ridiculously high. The biggest issue I've noticed is that servers disappear after you order and the subsequent assistants that bring the courses out to you act like they don't care if it's accurate or of you need anything else. After receiving a course it's usually 20 minutes before your original server even makes it back over to you. Yesterday a food runner rolled his eyes at me when I asked him for extra plates to share the salad - that I specifically asked our server for when I ordered the salad. He brought the extra plate with a side of attitude and couldn't run away fast enough after dropping it off. We never got the bread we were offered and then when it finally came out in a togo bag it was 2 of the hardest chunks of white bread that was probably laying ag the bottom of the bin, without any butter. Good luck getting a server if you sit at the bar tops. They'll walk right past you like you're invisible. The atmosphere never feels warm and welcoming, it always feels like an overpriced mall food court. 2 years ago our server left for the night before we had even finished eating our cheesecake. We had no idea who was getting our check. I just watched her put her coat on and leave without saying goodbye. Eventually we figured out who to pay, after it took a bartender hunting the new server down. On occasion I've brought these past issues up to management but it never seems to curb the constant service issues on future visits. Cheesecake Factory lacks a corporate footprint the way other chains have established, so complaints always go directly back to the same manager at the same cheesecake factory, and to be honest she's not the friendliest, either. I think we're done with cheesecake factory. There are far better restaurants that are surprisingly less expensive, like the Springfield...
Read moreWe like The Cheesecake Factory. This is the first one we actually were disappointed with, and it wasn't the food. The food was great, but the service was lacking. We went one a Saturday evening, were sat rather quickly, it went downhill from there. Our waitress came by, and we ordered our drinks, a water no lemon and a Dr Pepper we also ordered our entrée before she left our table she asked if we wanted bread and butter also we told her yes. The next time she came by, she apologized for the delay on the drinks but explained the glasses were dirty, so she asked for clean ones. Our food came out next....still no drinks or bread. We saw our waitress at another table getting them extra drinks to go boxes and their check ( couple of trips back and forth). We still had no drinks or the bread just our entrée we ate our entrée with no drink and never received the bread she asked us if we wanted at the time we ordered. She came back by after we had finished and asked how things were. We asked for our check, and I asked her to please remove the Dr Pepper from our bill as I had never received it. She was shocked that we had not received our drinks as someone else had told her he had brought them out, nothing mentioned in regards to no bread being brought. She left and returned to explain it was a miscommunication between her and one of the other guys who she said "doesn't speak good English" Still waiting on our check at this point. She finally brought the check shortly after and again made excuses. Only this time, it was due to them seating to many people at a time. She never even offered to bring us a drink to go or anything. We had planned on ordering a slice of cheesecake, but after the service we had, we decided to spend our money elsewhere. We went to the food court in the mall and purchased drinks as we had just eaten a meal with nothing to drink at a well known sit down table service restaurant. Very disappointed in The...
Read moreThe dinner went well! Long wait but I didn’t mind I don’t complain!(:except for the fact there was moldy green breed in our basket but whatever we didn’t say anything because it was busy and we felt bad. but I asked the waitress if we could continue shopping and come back and I could use my birthday reward at the front THAT WAS THE ONLY REASON WE DECIDED ON CHEESECAKE FACTORY..for the CHEESECAKE. She said oh yeah of course! I came back 20 mins later and went up to this guy. I said oh hi I want to redeem my birthday reward. We can to dinner a little bit earlier. He slaps his hand on his face like actually…and he YELLS it doesn’t work like that and I was like oh okay I’ll just leave then that’s fine. I’m not even exaggerating I just said oh okay I’ll just leave then! I never argue because I know they have a very rough job I also work in food service I know how tiring it is. He says NO ITS YOUR BIRTHDAY WHY DID YOU DO THIS YOU CANT GET IT WITHOUT A PURCHASED AT THIS EXACT MOMENT. I was like yes that’s fine I can just leave. And he goes who was your server. I tell him the name I won’t call her out even though she lied to him and told him she never told us that but he was screaming at her so I understand if she was nervous or something. He comes back and yells at me NO SHE SAID YOU ARE LYING. I was like okay okay I’ll go. It was kind of awkward I felt like I was the one who had to de-escalate the situation which everyone who works in food service is trained to handle. He needs to be reprimanded for real. I sent an email and got a copy paste response. GOOO TO THE SOUTH SIDE ONE GUYS! these reviews are misleading this place is a mess and management just cares about money I’m never coming back. Team south side 😛extremely extremely disappointed. Get it together as someone in good service I’ve never experienced being the one who yelled at the customer…it’s just insane to me. Please again don’t go here...
