April 20th, 2024. Question: if you order food directly from the restaurant website for delivery and it says 30-40 minutes, how long after that would you call the place? Now if you do call and get “placed on hold” but really they just set the phone down, and hear them talking about forgetting to deliver your order, then they say “oh it’s on its way now.” What are the chances that your food is still going to be warm if it’s already 20 minutes past the 40 minute the “estimated delivery?” Then they show up 20 minutes after that time… Winner if you guessed cold and soggy. The pizza cheese was already hard. It wasn’t even warm. The bread on the hoagie was soggy because it was wrapped in paper for who knows how long. So I called back and just said hey, i called a little bit ago and my food was just delivered and it’s cold. The guy acts like he doesn’t know and is playing dumb. I said listen, I overheard you talking before and you said you forgot about my order. I order from you all of the time but never do delivery. It’s always great, this is not that. So he says they will remake it. It’s too late for that now as it’s 9pm, plus would it ever get here? I told them to come back and get their food and to please refund me. He said he will refund me. What are the chances that I will actually be refunded? If you guessed they didn’t refund you’d be correct. I waited to post this until after I never was refunded. Additionally there was not even an apology.

The food here is pretty good! I believe they used to have a small location on McKnight Road (near Target and those shops) but somewhat recently moved to a slightly bigger place (although still kind of small). Not too much room to sit down. I ordered the cheese calzone. When I picked up the order, the guy was pretty nice and relatively quickly got me my food. There were more workers than I thought (recent expansion). Decently clean. The calzone itself was really quite good. For the price, the portion was about what I'd expect, maybe even a little more. The cheese was pretty high quality. Great quality bread and a nice portion of bread to cheese. Very tasty garlic topping. I also really liked the side tomato sauce, although I would have liked a slightly larger portion of sauce (and it was kind of cold). Very chunky tomato sauce with a nice bit of spice and salt. All in all, this place is quite a good pizza shop. Good portion, decent enough price, and quite a good tomato sauce. I enjoyed the classic cheese calzone.

Finally, a SATISFACTORY PIZZERIA in Pittsburgh! It’s very difficult to find pizza in this town, they’re either too greasy, horrible cheese and tomato sauce, or factory made dough or those terrible franchises. It’s not quite the Italian pizza but they embrace the original Neopolitan spirit of the pizza, i.e. put in as much topping as you like!!! Choose any of their pizza and then modify it. My recommendation: thin crust, pesto sauce, meat lovers with extra meatballs, anchovies, mushrooms, onions and fresh mozzarella (no other cheese). Add in crispy chicken wings, plain so you can use you own dipping sauce. Also a Greek salad. I am not convinced on their pastas, they’re all tomato-base and not sure if pasta is store-made. Hence, the four stars. They have an open-view kitchen, with a nicely kept dining area (though it was closed when I visited last).

Wow. First time ordering after our go to had a fire. Really, really outstanding pizza. Had hand tossed, the sauce is great. Lots of bacon on the bacon/cheese fries. Wings were nice and crispy. I see people talking about the time it takes....I don’t know about that. Ordered on line and was delivered a few minutes early....on a Sat between 6;00 and 7:00. Incredibly good food. Bravo. Here’s something a little more granular in the way of the review, focus on the pizza. You know how sometimes you eat a pie from places where the ingredients might be good, but it’s just not balanced? Say, the sauce just stands out and overpowers the rest of the parts, or the cheese is too thin? This is not that. this is a very balanced pizza where it all just comes together nicely. The crust was crisp to the ends, oil from the cheese and pepperoni didn’t do anything to soften it, nice and crisp! The sauce gives you a quick hint or tease of sweetness before the bold flavors you expect from a red sauce come forward. Look, if you’re in the North hills delivery area and you haven’t tried, you should. This is the...

OMG! I cannot believe I neglected to take a picture of the most beautiful cheese calzone ever! I have seen other calzones in different places, but never tried one, because the ones I saw did not look like the one I got. This had a GOLDEN dough, that was baked using CRISCO!!! ...hence the golden glow, with hand crimped crust, ricotta AND their own cheese blend and marinara sauce. It was huge, and so worth the price. My friend had their Italian hoagie, which she could only eat a quarter of, and all I heard was "YUM!". We did dine in, but the dining area is small, and not fully attended to, but I gave five stars for atmosphere because the staff is exceptional. We are going to order the pizza on Saturday, because two other ladies dining in had that, and as we passed by, the smell was heavenly. There is parking out front, and you have to keep an eye out for entrance off Babcock, and they do deliver. I feel very fortunate to have found this place, 'cause this is our new go-to Italian eatery. Try it...you won't be...
