Ruscello at Nordstrom — Restaurant in Ross Township

Update The Nordstrom Marketplace Cafe has been rebranded as Ruscello. It is still located in the same spot inside Ross Park Mall's Nordstrom and I am happy to say still delivery excellent service and food. I recently tried the decadently creamy spinach dip. As well as, the spicy and flavor packed chicken Parm sandwich. My Mom tried a steak salad that she really enjoyed. This cafe is still very much a hidden gem. And I still highly recommend them and stand by my original review, which you can read below.

Hidden gem I recently discovered located inside Nordstrom's at Ross Park Mall. Charming cafe/ diner vibes with great menu. Very comfortable environment. Everything was prepared great and tasted delicious. Marketplace is definitely somewhere I will be visiting again. I certainly didn't expect such refined and curated food from a cafe inside a department store, so I was pleasantly surprised. I had the tomato bisque which was lovely. I shared the tomato and burrata salad which was fresh and divine. I also shared a turkey club sandwich with fries - packed with flavor. Fries came with a kalamata olive aioli for dipping. I don’t shop at Nordstrom, but I do like their cafes. Anything to get away from the lines at Cheesecake Factory.

Best things to order are their heirloom tomatoes & burrata appetizer (Order TWO!!!) and their grilled steak tacos. Although, I wish the chef would go back to steaming the corn tortillas instead of par frying them on the grill. Frying them just makes the texture of the corn tortilla a weird combination of chewy and tough.

Their Nordstrom Makers chocolate sticks that you get with your check can be purchased at the front register....

We found this hidden gem accidentally, but we are glad that we decided to try it. The staff is super nice and the food is great. Our server was attentive without being intrusive and helped make the experience pleasurable. We had the French dip sandwich and a cheeseburger. They were both excellent. The burger was done perfectly which is almost unheard of these days. Everyone gives you well done no matter how you want it. The fries that came with our sandwiches were also ⁴excellent.
