Cristy’s Kitchen is super cute! The staff are very friendly. It took us like 10 minutes just to decide what to order (thank goodness no one was behind us!), and the person taking our order was so patient and gave some recommendations too. They’re gluten free and dairy free, and we could taste that in some of the things we got. They use fresh ingredients and even make their own almond milk in house! The prices for the baked goods definitely reflect the quality of the ingredients, as they’re expensive. The rest of the food seems pretty reasonably priced though.
They don’t require masks and staff weren’t wearing masks. However, when a customer came in wearing one, the cashier did put one on, which was so thoughtful and respectful.
Here’s what we got: Coco-Banana Smoothie ($8.50): Suuuuper good. Loved the hint of cinnamon. Aloe Smoothie ($8.50): My sister really liked it! I tried it and loved the taste of the pineapple and orange juice in it. Mini Brownies (8 for $6): $6 seems like a lot for 8 mini brownies to me. If you’re looking for the classic brownie taste, I didn’t get that with these. You could taste the healthiness haha. Alfajor ($4.75): Really good!! A classic Peruvian dessert. The dulce de leche was rolled in coconut, but I couldn’t really taste it (which I didn’t mind, as I’m not a huge fan of coconut). So if you’re not into coconut, don’t let that stop you from trying this! Blueberry Muffin ($6.50): Good, but again, it tasted healthy and not like a classic blueberry muffin.
We would definitely come back for the smoothies! Next time, we might skip the baked goods and try their actual...
Read moreEverything is gluten-free and dairy-free, and delicious! They are able to accommodate our friends' and family's other dietary needs, as well, including alternative sweeteners, organic, vegan, etc. Whether or not you have specific dietary needs, you'll find something to love.
Everything is reasonably priced, so we'll be back often. We had matcha, protein coffee, a vegan pizza (surprisingly good non dairy cheese, all melty and perfect), a mushroom pot pie (wonderfully moist, great textures, with savory, woodsy flavor), and pastries.
The service is chill: friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful.
Best of all, the cafe is perfect for meeting friends. Everyone can find something delicious, and everyone can feel comfortable here, together. I appreciate that there is soft seating and supportive seating at the same tables so that everyone in our group can sit comfortably together despite different needs.
It's really cute, a cozy place with ample indoor and outdoor space with a variety of firm and soft seating at each table, with lots of pretty pillows. Small tables or big tables, with everything you might need. There are many nice touches that will be appreciated by those who have special dietary needs or hidden disabilities. We will...
Read moreAMAZING FOOD! Way to go Cristy! I wouldn't have been able to tell it was GF at all. I took my sister and dad who are non-vegan and really not very fond of trying vegan food much at all. They had great options for all of us. I ordered the curry jackfruit sandwich, which was amazingggggg, and the spinach artichoke pot pie, OUT OF THIS WORLD. My sister had the ham sandwich, which she liked a lot. The potato chips were also great! I didn't try the bagel but was surprised that my sister said it was very yummy and flavorful. Sometimes GF bread can be a bit dry but if my sister liked it then it must be really good!
The only thing that really disappointed me was all of the use of plastic and paper products. Our food came on paper plates, with plastic silverware, and plastic cups, and the cakes and chips are already in plastic to-go containers. If I am going to eat in at a restaurant, I expect them to have reusable products. I don't know if this is because of covid or their dishwashers were getting repaired, I have no idea. But I hope this isn't their regular. I know GA in general isn't super eco-conscious but I expect health food places to be...
