We eat at Jersey Mike’s at least once a month and have done so since moving to this area over a year and a half ago.
We always order online and pick up at the store. Locations vary as we are centered directly in the middle of three jersey Mike’s locations. This time, basing our decision on time of day and traffic, we chose the store located at 660 West Crossville Road in Roswell.
We always order the exact same thing. A giant Philly cheesesteak on white bread with extra cheese, extra meat and I usually add mushrooms to the entire sandwich. I know that the total is going to be over $29 but not $30. This time we changed it up a little bit and only added mushrooms to half of the sandwich. Since I was ordering a giant sandwich, and also didn’t want peppers and onions on that half of the sandwich, I didn’t add the mushrooms on the app, I chose to add it in the special instructions instead anticipating that I would be charged “in store”.
I went to pick up the sandwich early, anticipating that they would still be making it so that I would be there in the event that there was any confusion with my order and to correct my mistake with the mushrooms.
Maria was just making our sandwich, asked what I needed, I gave the name and before I could say anything else she said “you didn’t pay for the mushrooms” I explained that was the reason I arrived early and said I’d be happy to pay. To which she replied “No. I won’t charge you this time but next time, add the mushrooms online.”
She wasn’t rude but she verged on being derogatory and condescending.
I confirmed while she was still cooking the sandwiches that she had the order, correct… double meat, double cheese, mushrooms on one side with no peppers and onions.
When I got home and opened my sandwiches, there was no double meat on them.
When I called the store and spoke to Maria, she said, “Yes, there was double meat.”
I said we eat there all the time and there was NOT double meat on our sandwiches. Maria replied very rudely and smugly “I made those sandwiches myself and I DID put double meat on them.”
I said “OK next time we’ll just eat at another location.”
She replied with some very short, curt “OK” or “fine”.
Maria could have cared less.
I will never use that location again. 660 West Crossville Rd., Roswell, GA.
When I pay $28 for a sandwich, I want a $28 sandwich. I’d have gladly paid for my mushrooms and have the double meat. I feel like she shorted me on the meat because she thought I was trying to get away with something. And she knew what she did.
I want my five dollar tip back too.
I don’t typically leave tips for hourly employees, but I felt that since she wasn’t charging me for the mushrooms it was the least I could do.
I will eat at Jersey Mike’s because they have the best Philly cheesesteak sandwiches on the planet.

Read moreThis is the first time I went into the store versus ordering on Door Dash. The bearded redheaded guy who was working the counter wins the most OBNOXIOUS individual award! You could tell his coworkers also were not too thrilled with his over the top 'mansplaining' attitude. I was trying to place my whole order at once, and he told me he can only do the hot order and then had to come back to do the cold order. Seems like a lot of rules for placing sandwich orders. He simply REFUSED to take the cold part of the order until he started preparing the hot part of the order. Really Jersey Mikes, is this how you inconvenience your customers? He was not only over the top in mansplaining how to place my order, and trying to be the most important sandwich order taking guy in the world, he was over the top in trying to rush us down to his end before we were done looking at the menu. This guy has serious issues with trying to over engineer placing an order. I walked out, without purchasing anything, and will NEVER step foot in that store again while this clown is behind the counter. Jersey Mikes, a trip to charm school would do that individual good.....I am a business owner for 31 years, and if any of my employees ever tried to belittle one of my customers I would release them of their duties immediately! Read moreWill not be going back to this store. The employees are rude and not very professional considering they sit on the same counters they make food on. They don't wash their hands at all before starting a sandwich. The thing they cut the meat on wasn't very clean. The lobby floor looked like it hadn't been swept or mopped in days. The floor behind the counter had food and whatever all over it. Which was funny to me considering one of the employees was playing on their phone when I walked in and the others doing nothing. I was gonna dine in but changed my mind when I seen that most all the tables were dirty. The men's bathroom was just disgusting. There was trash on the counter in the lobby. Almost made me not want to eat there at all but I was running late for work already and that's the only reason I did. But I won't be going back there. I'll drive a little further and just go to the one down the street. I don't know who was in charge of the crew when I was there but they should be ashamed of themselves and the other employees.
