I got a coupon for a free 8” sandwich for my birthday, so I thought I would take advantage of it. I had an appointment soon, so thought I would try out their proclaimer of “Freaky Fast Delivery”.
I live less than two miles from their location, and it takes me less than 5 minutes to get to their store. So, I tried this “Fast” delivery. It turned out to be NOT so fast. Certainly not Freaky Fast.
While it only took them about two minutes to make my sandwich according to their App, it actually took them 20 more minutes to get the sandwich to me! Not terrible, but not what seemingly advertised.
After about 15 minutes, I became concerned that the driver might either be lost (2 miles away), or that they had a lot of orders to deliver, and called the local store. The person who answered had access to my information from my phone number and said that the driver had two orders, including mine to deliver, and should make it to me within about 5 minutes. So, the driver was probably just leaving, or had just left the store.
Ultimately, the sandwich did get dropped off on my doorstep, my Ring system let me know, and it was just fine; it was just starting to get a tad soggy by the time it got here. I had ordered extra oil and vinegar, which is not a good idea if a sandwich is going to be a bit to get to you! So, my fault there.
I did learn my lesson here. If I get food from Jimmy John’s again, I will simply save myself some money in fees ($5 delivery fee) plus delivery tip (charged prior to getting your food), and just go to the store and pick up my food! Of course, still a tip, but usually a bit less than delivery.

Read moreI ordered a Door Dash order last night the store called me to firstly ask if I could come pick it up because they no longer had a driver on shift. I could not go pick it up hence why I ordered food delivery. They never cancelled my order through door dash, instead they put that they delivered my order last night. Door dash will not refund me so I tried calling this morning. I asked for the general manager and I spoke with the Indian Lady, she would not give me her name. She hung up on me multiple times. Her reasoning is that she is too busy right now and she asked if I can stop by the store to talk with her about it later???? Every time I call she yells over me and hangs up. Now the store wont pick up at all. This is a joke that she is a representation of this company. I am in the customer service industry and have been for 8 years. I would never treat a customer the way I have been treated today. AND the only reason I keep calling is because I just want my money back. They did not cancel out the order correctly, and due to this I have been on hold with door dash, jimmy johns corporate and my bank.
