JP Sushi — Restaurant in Roswell

If I could give them no stars I would. I just left, and I have eaten here before, but after tonight I will not recommend them, send them any business, or return! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I arrived 30 minutes before closing, and I would have came earlier but I got caught up at work. When I walked in they told me “they were closed.” I looked at the hostess and politely said, “But you close at 10:00 PM.” He replied, “We already closed our kitchen.” Meanwhile I am watching them continue to make sushi, completing others orders, and the servers continuing to do their job. Also, I had just come in this week and it was 15 minutes before they closed. When I came in that night, I even said, “I know you close in 15 minutes and are no longer serving. Didn’t have an issue, I was served and left very pleased. They even close at 9:00 PM during the week. To tell me you closed your kitchen 30 minutes early on a Friday night? It’s fine. The sushi quality was what I expected but the overall cost was higher than expected. The wine selection was poor and the price charged per small-sized glass was more than the full bottle price at any local wine shop.

I sat at the sushi bar and asked the sushi chef for more ginger. After he gave me another small portion, I informed him that it was only enough to cover 2 pieces of sushi. He still provided me with the same minuscule portion then AND all 7 times that I had to ask for more. Each time I asked for more, he seemed to give it to me with more and more attitude instead of more ginger. I even asked him after the 3rd or 4th time, “did I make you angry by asking for more ginger”. He simply replied “no” with no smile, no eye contact, but plenty of attitude in his demeanor.

Easily one of the most disappointing dinners I’ve had. My review is strictly for the food as I had Doordash deliver to my hotel. Apparently you can’t ask for changes to your food if you order this way. I ordered the Super Crunch Crab Roll, which was super dry and not crunchy but decent. I also got the JP Fried Rice. This had beef, chicken, and shrimp along with onions, zucchini, and carrots. I don’t like this in my fried rice but you can’t customize. It also didn’t state that in the description. The fried rice was nothing more than greasy steamed rice. There was nothing about that delicious crunchy rice that we love about fried rice. The meats were cooked with virtually no seasoning and were completely flavorless. The entree also came with Miso soup that was pretty decent. I’ve had better but I’ve also had way worse.
