Rhodes Bakery has the most incredible and scrumptious treats that you could possibly imagine! Many a year ago they made our wedding cake for us and it turned out so perfectly. Me and my wife have come back so many a time for their so delicious cookies and so tasty gingerbread men. And many other delectable food items. And if you have a spouse or partner, you really gain brownie points if you bring home a delicious treat to them. Maybe even it'll even get you out of the doghouse. =) They have been a fixture of Atlanta forever. I can totally understand how they've been in business so long because of their wonderful food. The owners and wonderful staff are always so very amicable and so very hospitable. So very personable and so very wonderful. They are so very passionate about what they do. Honestly, it was quite disappointing. We went to the Roswell location around noon on a Tuesday and picked up a chocolate eclair and a couple slices of caramel cake for my birthday. The eclair was eaten as soon as we left, but it had no flavor to it and the cream was a bit runny and leaked out at first bite. The slices of caramel cake were eaten early that evening, but tasted like they were sliced the day before. Dry cake, brittle caramel covering, and the flavor was more of a general sugary sweetness than a rich caramel. I had heard good things about the bakery, but honestly won't be returning. On top of all that, the woman that waited on us (we were the only customers) had the personality of a rock. She acted like she wanted to be doing anything else aside...

I went into Rhodes Bakery for the first time to order a cake for my bridal shower. I was a bit nervous because I had never tasted their cakes and wanted my shower to be right. I immediately felt at ease when I was greeted with a warm welcome and friendly smile. after talking through my ideas, I decided on a strawberry cake with simple floral decorations. The cake was beautiful and delicious. The cream cheese icing had the perfect sweetness and the cake was moist and fluffy. Everyone at the shower raved about the cake.
