I was meeting a friend of mine here and had never been before. There was nobody else but me and my friend there. I ordered herbal mint tea. I specifically went out of my way to say, "I'm only interested in herbal, I am allergic to caffeine." They didn't call me, and after about 20 minutes, I went up to the counter and said, "Hi there, is my tea ready?" They looked at me strangely and said, "Uh, yes, it's at the pickup counter. " (I didn't know that's how they did it, so that was pretty awkward) I took a sip, and nope. It was green tea. I went back up and said, "This is not mint tea. It's green tea." The girl rolled her eyes, didn't offer to take the cup, and then smiled and said, "ok." I said, "Would you like this back?" She rolled her eyes again and took it from me. I said, "Should I wait for my tea?" She said, "Yes, hang on."
They made my tea, and I got it from the pick-up counter. They barely looked at me and made no attempt to apologize.
I loved the atmosphere of the place, but the people working there didn't seem to care one bit if I was...
Read moreComing from the Midwest, I was thrilled to find my favorite coffee shop, Scooter's, right in the Atlanta suburbs. The coffee is as good there and here (yes, it's the same coffee, but taste varies with location), so I give that 5 stars. The service though....the girl behind the counter ignored me, stared and rudely answered questions like how long they had been open and their hours, didn't crack a smile at me (she was nice to customers before and after me) and was really curt. I'd understand if either she or I had been having a bad day, but the only thing I can think of was she didn't like how my husband or I looked. I am definitely not going back because my experience at this location was not what I have seen at over a dozen other locations across the country. Hopefully, the Marietta location will be better because even though I pass by the Roswell location, I'm not interested in giving them my 4 time a...
Read moreSo sad to give them a 3. I've been a regular at Scooters this past year and have always been so pleased with their service and their coffee. The baristas are always enthusiastic and make my coffee the way I love it, however, within a year, Scooters prices had gone up quite drastically in such a short period of time. I'm a young woman with a simple part time job and one of the reasons I always came back to Scooters was for their reasonable prices for good quality coffee as compared to the rip off company, Starbucks. Unfortunately, their iced coffee prices have risen too high for me to come back :( I think their corporate should definitely rethink their prices because it's just a wee bit ridiculous for me to spend the price of a medium caramel macchiato for an iced coffee. The gelato shop's Italian coffee in the Avalon shopping center is now cheaper than Scooters...thats just...
