I received a $15 gift card and decided to put it towards a meal and dessert for my 2 teen aged grandkids. I ordered a spicy chicken basket and a steak finger basket with cheesy bites instead of fries. Did you notice how I didn't say the combo. Well the young woman proceeded to hand my kids two huge cups. So I'm like ok. Then she says , that will be $29.10 😳 I'm like wowwww. So I squint my old eyes as I look at the menu and realized she had rung us up for the combos which I never get at any restaurant. My kids prefer water anyhow. But by then my kids are standing next to me with full cups of coke. So I pay $15 gift card and she said I had a balance of $14.10. I hand her a $20. She gives me change back. A $5 dollar bill. I'm still in shock at how can junk fast food for only 2 people be almost $30??? So I decided to look at my receipt while my kids ate , and I realized she had short changed me by .90 cents. Almost a dollar. So I ask about that and she says , well that's what the computer told me to give you back. I'm like , whattttt!!?? So she calls someone higher up, lol. And she gives me .90 cents and says I don't know why that happened! So I go ahead and tell her about her cashier bringing it upon herself to order us combos even though that is not what I ordered!! All she could say was . "They drank their cokes , didn't they!!!!! So , did my kids get dessert. Yeah from the HEB down the...
Read moreIt's been years since I last visited this location. It's been over 1 year since I last visited any DQ for that matter. I wasn't impressed & most likely won't be back for a while unless I happen to be in the area, starving, & nothing else is open. The chicken strips were decent, not terrible but not anything special either. The french fries were terrible. Small portioned, overcooked & warm, at best. In other words, far from fresh. The employees could use some training as far as customer service is concerned, as well as, interpersonal skills. It was quite noisy as things kept being dropped from behind the counter. IE: brooms (multiple times), various other unknown objects. They began closing down the restaurant, (mopping the dining room floor, etc), while I was eating so I felt extremely rushed, even though they still had an hour left before the restaurant closed. It's quite small so I wouldn't expect it to take that long to complete closing duties. But I get it, they want to go home asap after they close, not be stuck at work doing sidework. I probably would have overlooked the closing distractions had the CS been a bit better, & more importantly had the food been at least average. Fresh, not old. It's fast food for crying out loud. It takes a couple of minutes, at most, to prepare the menu items I ordered. Oh well. You get what you pay...

I couldn't believe my eyes, we ordered a chocolate dipped cone. She was ladelingng the chocolate on it not dipping it. The chocolate sauce was streaked, as it ran all done the cone and the employees hand. The part you hold with paper was covered in choclate sauce. The white was still showing. She then grabbed a rag and wiped off the paper part on the cone. It was stained brown with sauce all over it. The other employee started to make my small cone. It was broken, which she saw it was broken. I asked the cashier of that was mine, because it was broken. She looked at me dumbfounded. She said She could re make it. At this point I was appalled. They were really going to send that out the window and think both were ok? Where is thier pride in work? How do they think it's ok to serve something like this? I had company from out of town. I thought it would be a nice treat to ho to a local DQ. I was so embarrassed. Obviously I told the cashier never mind and...
