Extremely disappointing experience. As someone who appreciates authentic Mexican food, I have no idea how this restaurant even has 4 stars—it’s ridiculous. That rating is actually what made me choose this place to celebrate my father’s 67th birthday. He also enjoys authentic Mexican food, and he was severely disappointed.

The food was far from authentic—beans tasted like they came from a can, the rice was dry, flavorless, and sticky, and both the chicken and beef tacos were dry and bland. The queso was incredibly watery and didn’t taste like queso at all.

To make matters worse, I wasn’t given a receipt at the time of my order. At the end of our meal, I realized we were missing a fish taco and two tortillas. When I brought it up to the cashier, a young woman with a tattoo on her upper right chest rudely got involved with a terrible attitude. She said I’d be refunded in 2–3 business days without even offering to fix the order. When I said I’d rather just get the food, she gave a nasty look and reluctantly proceeded to do so.

It took a long time to get the missing items, and when I asked about the delay, I was told “everything is freshly made.” That would’ve been understandable if someone had at least apologized for the inconvenience. No apology, no offer to make things right—not even a complimentary drink.

The customer service was awful. Staff were loud and unprofessional, singing over music that was already blaring, making it nearly impossible to enjoy a meal or hold a conversation with family.

We will never be returning, and I want to warn others—especially those who love true Mexican food—not to waste their time...

Fresh, Fresh, Fresh! This place blew me away! The Migas Poblano (without eggs) was absolutely delicious, filling, and generously portioned. Paired with freshly squeezed orange juice, my breakfast was nothing short of perfection.

The service? Phenomenal! Quick, attentive, and exceptionally friendly—even early in the morning. It's not easy to deliver such cheerful and efficient service at that hour, and I truly appreciated it.

A word to the wise: this is not fast food, so while the dishes may take slightly longer, the quality speaks for itself. Everything is made with fresh ingredients, and their in-house tortillas are a standout!

While I wasn’t a huge fan of the queso, I understand it’s vegan and dairy-free, which is fantastic for those with dietary restrictions. Despite that, I’m still giving this spot a solid five stars because the rest of the food was just that good. The fresh-squeezed orange juice, with no sugar added, was a personal favorite—it’s rare to find something that pure and refreshing.

Oh, and the salsas? Out of this world. Every single one had a unique flavor that added depth to the dishes. Our whole family, both vegetarians and non-vegetarians, loved everything we ordered.

I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often. There are so many tacos and menu items I didn’t get to try—next time, I’m bringing a bigger appetite!

If you’re in the area, don’t miss out on this gem. You’ll love it. Highly,...

If I can rate it a no star I would, unorganized, incompetent, rude , and unfriendly. I've called them literally 13 times now and gave up, honestly in just the second call they forwarded my call. Would be nice to see owner around from time to time ,all employees look like they had a bad wake up,morning and afternoon. Always look at you with an annoyed look, the way I see it is no the customer is not always right but damn!! your the ones that decided to work here so at least do your job right. If your not having a good day" call in !!! Easy as that , you don't like your work area, Quit!!!! I dont know what happened to this location ,first time here was amazing then gradually decreased not only in quality but customer service. Not going to mention names but if I were that type of individual I'd put all of their names. OWNER MAN UP! Do a walk around teach employees how to be humble and more professional as well as productive, short in hand ??? Hire someone then!!! quit being cheap. Bad enough this place is pricey so I know you have funds to provide an extra hand or at least a manager to run things correctly! Will not be going here anymore not that it means anything to the owner or the public, but just a heads up to you true taco lovers this is not the...

Have always loved Veracruz. First time to this location. Once did a pre order online and once ordered in person. Lived up to what I know and have enjoyed at the other locations. The fresh made-to-order juices are phenomenal. Love the morning one (carrot orange ginger) and Mr Verde. So fresh and delicious. Also got my group smoothies one day and they enjoyed those. Drip Coffee was good. The breakfast tacos here are hands down my favorite anywhere. They make their own corn tortillas and cook them up fresh to order from what I could see. The Migas poblano taco is so good, I add bacon (something a worker previously recommended to me as a great add and I agree). The salsas are also fantastic. They’re $5-ish but a good size so I only needed one for breakfast with my juice. Wish I had a stomach bug enough for 2! You can also order it with a second tortilla which I did the second time just because there’s so much filling in the taco. Also enjoyed the concha - got the orange flavored one. I saw someone else complained about lack of clear to understand menu but you can easily pull up their menu online and see full descriptions with pricing. Parking right about front. Inside is clean and well kept up. Staff was very nice and got my order together quickly.

Where to start First time trying this place this Sunday went during lunch as the place wasn't packed. I'm ordering from the list and I got Doña Reynas , al pastor, Barbacoa,Grilled Steak. Take away was the price and wait time as it was over 25 for food and a drink and 30 mins. But open minded and just thinking lots of online orders maybe. But when I got I try the Barbacoa The tortillas we're already falling apart Before I Even picked it up And it was decent But not worth the price. Doña Reynas was dry and I would have thought with mole would have made it tender, but sadly not. But with all these tacos they were falling apart Before any bite and me just scooping it up. Al pastor isn't traditional in any way and just greasy pile of mess when trying to finish. Grilled Steak is basically Carne asada but didn't have much seasoning or flavors that stood out and even though I asked for no Avocado. Queso fresco on this and Doña Reynas threw me off and didn't hit any wow factor with me, there are so many taco places in Austin that or good or bad, but wouldn't recommend anyone this and definitely feel annoyed fot the folks that recommend this and follow the hype of this place.

First off, there is no menu. I asked for one, and the lady pointed to the wall where there are drawings of things like chickens. I asked where the prices were, and she said breakfast tacos are $4 to $5, and other tacos are $5 +. I thought that was steep for a taco, but I decided to try one because of so many 5* reviews. Well, it was nothing to rave about. I was very disappointed. I had the chicken fajita one. What they called their mild salsa was quite hot, and hot is not for me. The chairs at all the tables are uncomfortable because the sides hit me at the wrong place near my lower back, and they are very slippery, so hard to sit up in them. This place just did not do it for me.
