I’ve already shared my concerns with the company but have yet to receive a response. I came in with a positive attitude, excited to treat my kids to some pizza and pasta of their choice. I made friendly conversation with the clerk and other staff working that night. Unfortunately, the experience quickly took a disappointing turn.
The young man at the register seemed unsure of what he was doing and needed frequent help. Another employee in a green shirt stood nearby, on his phone, waiting for his girlfriend to bring him a Starbucks drink. Two young African American women appeared to be busy, but upon closer observation, it was clear they weren’t doing much at all. Then there was the manager on duty in a red long-sleeve shirt who made the food.
Honestly, the entire situation felt like a slap in the face. I walked in with good intentions, gave compliments, and even encouraged Mr. Donovan (the clerk) to take his time learning the system as he processed my order. I had pleasant conversations with the others who came to assist him. However, when my food was finally brought out, I was handed pasta that was poorly made and looked nothing like what’s advertised on Papa John’s menu.
What made it worse was the awkward looks the staff exchanged before handing it to me, like they knew it wasn’t acceptable, but gave it to me anyway. This, after I had spoken kindly to them and even left a generous 15–20% tip. I felt completely unappreciated and disrespected, especially since my kids were excited and had picked out their meals with such joy.
To top it all off, the girl who brought the Starbucks drink went behind the counter, an area that’s clearly off-limits to regular customers.
I once had respect for this location and came in hopeful despite some hesitation. But after this experience, I no longer feel confident in the quality of service, especially knowing that a tip means so little. This was truly...
Read moreOrder 3 large pizzas at 6:57pm Sunday night before the game and I was told 30 minutes. It finally got delivered at 8:25 pm. It was luke warm at best. When I called to complain, the shift leader blamed it on the Cowboy game and suggested I order when they weren't playing....Seriously?! I have to pop it in the oven to heat it up...I have never had this problem at any other location, but this one is bad every time I try it, which is why I usually buy Pizza Hut. He did ask if I wanted a credit for next time, which I accepted, but I assure you I will pick up myself and remnd them of there poor quality of food and management.
Fast forward to today 7/20/17 they still cant get it right...wife ordered 2 pizzas at 7:01pm and at 8:00 i call to check on our 35 minute delivery and they never even placed the order. They offered to make the order and deliver at regular price "in 35 minutes" or give a credit for 2 free next time we call. Hmmm, I'm simply done with this location! Keep your pizza and your credit! Pizza hut is always correct, hot, and delivered on time. Sorry Papa John's, Garland location was great and always had our business...but Rowlett location is a joke 3 1/2 years we have lived here now, and they have never gotten correct in some fashion... too bad I cant give you a 1 star for...
Read moreWeekend 1: After a mishap with a previous delivery, we were informed that a $25 credit would be applied to our account for our next order. We had ordered over $100 worth of pizzas that somehow got mixed up initially, but in the end they made it right by sending what we had asked for. Fast forward to the following week or so when my fiancé & I are beat after a long, strenuous day with no mood whatsoever to dirty the kitchen to cook. We call to redeem our credit, only to learn that the young lady we had spoken to either didn't save it in the system correctly or fabricated her guarantee to us. Nobody got angry, no voices were raised on the phone, just rather confused as I'm telling the man on the phone what happened. He gets the nighttime manager, Karla, on the phone & I reiterate to her what occurred, but to no avail of finding this mysterious credit, or our account for that matter! Poof, it had disappeared magically. I would like to note that the original young lady & Karla did not sound anything alike whatsoever; regardless, Karla takes our order down for delivery without hesitation, apologizes for the mishap & totally defused the situation.
