Recently started back going to school during the summer semester and did 100 percent online courses ..I haven't been to college in over 14 years so working the d2l site was a challenge and then some teachers uses Proctor for exams ..I must say the grading scale has changed alot since I went to school in 2011..you can get 100 percents on all your course work and still fail the class or come close to it and the professors are anal they're heartless they're not understanding nor do they care to help you , I understand that it's college and we're all adults but these professors are anal and they have no compassion..I've had to drop a few courses due to reading syllabus for courses and some teachers were so rude and blunt they basically cursed us out in a nice way and they have a negative demeanor..rude and arrogant the way they talk in the syllabus and some are not realistic..they expect a three page paper , 20 pages of mind tap homework plus listen to 15 chapters of lectures at once plus a quiz all in one week and some teachers will put the quiz date up on a Saturday that's to be taken by Tuesday way too much work and they basically tell ya "oh well" "there's no extra credit during this semester " one teacher was so rude in her syllabus I think her name was Johnson..she goes " if you earn a 89 percent in my course , don't bother asking me if I can bump it to a 90 for you , answer will be no! I mean she was very aggressive in her syllabus I dropped her course like a bad habit..I am not understanding why these teachers are so damn rude cocky and arrogant ..how are yall teachers but don't want to help and assist your students so that they can succeed? I've never seen so many teachers that were unwilling to help their students succeed in my life ...I also got behind in one class due to the death of my manager , got laid off of work plus going thru alot of excruciating things and they had me write an appeal just to deny it on purpose ..even with proof ..this school and these teachers does not care about you ..all they care about is the money..I have decided to go to another college and dropped this one ..very ignorant...
Read moreStudent service representative was sorely lacking, didn't give a name. Anyways I waited on hold, what seemed like forever (push 2 for call back Fast or else wait.. ), and asked to schedule a phone appointment. Was told no, to try my hand Wednesday with walk-in times available. I asked if I could schedule a phone call at their earliest available time, even if it's a week out. I was abruptly put back on hold without warning and so it remained for 5 minutes before I hung up and called back. Hoping to speak with someone else. Success. I was informed they are booked out until mid January, even for a phone call. The other possibility is, they have an open week, for academic advisement counseling, starting the 16th of December. Hope this helps someone save time. And possibly reprimand poor behavior.

To whom it may concern,
Your request necessitates my student login information, which I currently lack. Acquiring this information requires a significant wait time, as I recently spent a half-hour on hold listening to automated messages repeatedly assuring me of a two-minute wait time. Additionally, it's unclear how this request would be relevant to individuals who have not yet enrolled and obtained their own student login credentials.
I'm disappointed by the lack of assistance from student services. I would appreciate a more proactive approach to...
Read moreOCC is horrible with the phone system. Student services women (intentional) are EXTREMELY rude, dismissive, and unprofessional to say the least. They hurry up and not say their names and are UNAPOLOGETICALLY rude to the core! You make purchases from the bookstore and they don't know ANYTHING! NOBODY AT OCC KNOWS ANYTHING! AMAZING! If you DON'T CARE, APPLY AND OCC, THEY'LL HIRE YA!! This is my first semester, transferring from WASHTENAW community college and they rock in majority of areas, but I won't patronize OCC much beyond my first semester. I'm going to rock these 5 classes out and transfer the heck out of the UNCONCERNED...
