I was there this morning and had a terrible experience. I am never one to write a review, but this experience was so bad, it was laughable. First, I tried to order a smoothie and was informed they no longer make that even though it is still on the menu. Second, I then ordered a frozen caramel coffee and a bagel. I was then given a frozen mocha coffee and had to send it back (meanwhile I am the only customer in the store at the time). Then, after waiting and receiving a frozen caramel coffee, I walk over to get a straw and leave and there are no straws, so I go back up to the counter to ask for a straw. I am informed they have no straws and the company is out of them. I then laugh because how I am supposed to drink this frozen coffee with whipped cream out of the cup with a bubble top used for drinks with whipped cream. Meanwhile, the staff is looking at me like I am crazy for being upset about this because I would have NEVER ordered this drink if I knew they didn't have straws because I had to drive to work. I then asked if they had any other tops that I could possibly use to drink out of and was then offered a spoon. I'm not sure how they expected me to drink a coffee with a spoon out of cup that didn't have a big enough opening for a spoon while driving, but here I was with a $5 coffee that I couldn't enjoy and now running late for work because of all...
Read moreI have been visiting this location with my family 2-3 times a week for over 5 years now, and I must say that their staff is excellent - always respectful and experienced. However, during my recent visit, the General Manager approached me and asked me not to grab a cup of coffee from the entrance of the shop next time, and instead, wait for them to bring it to me as they may suspect me of something. I was taken aback and asked him why they didn't have a sign that indicated this restriction since I had seen many people do the same thing in the past. Furthermore, other managers had seen me grab a cup from the entrance on numerous occasions and had never mentioned anything to me about it. Accusing a loyal customer who has been visiting the store for years of potentially suspicious behavior is disrespectful, specially in front of other clients as well. Although I understand that the General Manager was doing his job, he could have approached me with more respect and politeness. To anyone from the Panera staff who may be reading this review, please take note of my name and see that I have been a loyal customer for over five years. I appreciate your hard work and the great service that your staff has provided me and my family during this time. Thank you for taking the time to read...
Read moreThe Manager Doug was being rude, intolerant and dismissive toward myself and other POC. He is very impatient, and stated he has a business to run, then walked away from me when a complaint was brought to him. Myself and family watched him switch attitudes while dealing with a POC vs a non POC and will not be patronizing any Panera Bread stores as it seems they have made sport of hiring and covering for Prejudice and maybe even racist Managers, such as Doug. I would not trust to leave the preparation of my food and that my health is of importance to someone who has an obvious slight against People of Color! Although he has many complaints against him, Panera Bread has yet to correct the issue and are allowing him to represent their brand. No one should have to go to another location and be inconvenienced, because The manager's unprofessionalism is being blatantly displayed. The loss of customers and publicity towards this issue will be seen. To anyone reading, it is 2023, if a company such as Panera Bread does not respect or appreciate POC or anyone for that matter, for our support, we need...
