We had had a very busy day and as both in our late 80's were both feeling tired. Our last stop had been Costco so enough said. I did not feel at all like going home and cooking a meal. Suddenly thought why not go to Outback. We had been there many years ago and it was truly AWFUL and we told the manager at the time and he was very kind and did not charge us as our meals as he could see we could not eat them. We vowed never to go back. Well things change and we were tired and so close we said we would try again. Oh how glad we were. We received a very nice welcome with a smiling face. Our server was Tanner and such a pleasant and enjoyable person. We both chose the same meal of a Prime Rib Steak. Did not realize it also came with a side, I chose a side salad and my husband chose French fries. Before that Tanner bought us some delicious bread which we devoured with gusto, was offered more but declined as needed room for our sandwiches. I was bought my side salad early and it was so good I loved the croutons they were not square and hard but like sliced bread and crisp and crunchy, sooooooo gooooood. Next along came our sandwiches. Well our eyes opened like saucers. They were so large. We did not expect this. A different person presented this and I think it may have been the cook from the kitchen as he was all smiles when he saw our faces. He was so nice and hoped we enjoyed, plus made a note of the extra horseradish I had requested. Tanner came to check everything was all Okay and was most attentive. (He has a great smile). The sandwich was huge and the meat was so tender and I just can not express how great it was to eat here, as we had avoided it for so many years after our terrible experience. Yes we will be back and yes we will ask for Tanner to be our server. These sandwiches were huge and we had to have a to go box, but, next days lunch was so easy for me to fix. Couple of moments in the microwave and bingo we were having one of the best lunches I have ever cooked, Ha, Ha, Ha. Had such a great meal and such a great experience, Yes, WE WILL BE BACK. Thank you Tanner and Thank you Outback for being there and for hire ring such great...
Read moreVisited Outback for the 1st time in over 15 years recently. I decided to order the Outbacker. It's a half pound burger, made with fresh not frozen beef with pickles, mustard and American cheese on a Brioche bun. Outback corporate needs to wake up and realize that when using fresh beef you should ALWAYS butter and grill the bottom of the bun so it can hold the grease from the patty, this is old news to burger experts already. First and foremost, our waitress Mileni was extremely professional and attentive. We did not have to wait for refills and any questions we had she answered clearly, she was all over it before we even asked. Will request her for sure next time. I sent the bun back as it came soft & soggy which once again will always happen when using fresh beef. The cook buttered it and grilled a new bun and sent it to me. With that grilled brioche bun and that new blend of beef they are using and its flame broiled? that's a top burger anywhere. It was delicious. We had Jade the kitchen manager stop by to see how everything was. Jade was a total professional who you can tell cares about her customers. I had not gone to Outback in how long did I say earlier in this post ? Too Outback leadership. My family has owned restaurants in South, FL for many years and way before your company existed. STOP LETTING WAITRESSES LIKE MILENI GET AWAY FROM YOU. GET A KITCHEN MANAGER LIKE JADE OUT OF THERE AND HAVE HER RUNNING SEVERAL LOCATIONS AND TEACHING THEM HER PASSION FOR SUCCESS. TRUST ME, IT CAN BE DONE. Last but not least the cook. I never told him to butter that roll before he grilled it for me, he obviously knows from Instagram and Tic Toc what he should do but was just following corporate orders, once I gave him the green light he produced in a major way. This store is loaded with talent and great leadership with Jade. Add to that the food was back to what I was enjoying there 32 years ago. I will be back to see those employees in a couple of days and enjoy a Ribeye next time. Glad to be back with...
