NOTE: The following posted review is under the incorrect Starbucks location. Although I’ve been to THIS particular location only a few times I can say that the service is worthy of the five stars. However, I must post the address of the store that I should have posted the review for, that we go to on almost a daily basis, these pics are from that location too: 561 N St Rd 7, Village of Royal Palm Beach. I’ll try and fix the reviews….
I LOVE this Starbucks location!! It’s our go-to location: every morning, my son and I stop on the way to HS, it starts our day off just right and has become a nice “Quality Time” tradition for us (bonus!); I’ll typically go again in the afternoon for a quick pick me up. I LIVE for the Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso-then I’ll put some seasonal syrup in there (ie Pecan, Chestnut, etc.) and that’s a nice little treat. But the main reasons we visit this location are the people who work there. Every. Single. Time. We walk in - we are greeted by name and the conversations flow from there. The employees not only know me, but most know all 3 of our kids. By name. 2 of whom are older and don’t visit Starbby’s (as we call it) with me as much. That says something to me. It’s not a large store, more like a mom-and-pop, kinda small-town store vibe, but still corporate when it needs to be. Professional and courteous, everyone who works here will always take the time to say hi - even at the height of a “rush”. I honestly could get cheaper coffee elsewhere-but the QT I get to spend with my son and the employees who work here, make every visit enjoyable and worth...
Read moreFELT RACIALLY PROFILED AT THIS LOCATION !! Read Below!!!! To start off, let me just say I am a black male and I rarely ever use the race card to describe a bad experience. It can easily be that someone was having a bad day and just did not have the energy to provide good customer experience. So when I feel I’ve been discriminated against it was definitely out of acts that were as clear as day. I showed up no one greeted me which I thought was odd but I’m no one important so that was not a big deal. It was when I saw the joyful encounters with the first two customers in front of me, compared to my dull and lifeless encounter, I knew it was because of the color of my skin. No one made eye contact with me or took my order in the same manner they took the white customers before and after me. I also went back in line to ask for water and there was another cashier there that gave me the same attitude. When I received my water I struggled to grab both drinks and she did not offer me a cup holder or anything, just watched in silence as I struggled to grab the drinks. (I had my laptop in my other hand). Terrible service which really surprised me because I never have an issue with star-bucks. There were no racial slurs of any kind but it was the energy and the looks that threw me of. If you are a person of color you may know that “energy” that I’m...
Read moreHubby and I went in for a coffee while waiting for service on one of our vehicles. The atmosphere is not as quaint as the corner cafe where they had been previously, but it wasn’t bad. He ordered a hot coffee, I ordered an iced latte. He got his right away and mine took a while. I wasn’t asked if I wanted whipped cream on top, but they put it on anyway. The next thing was that no straw or sleeve was provided and no straws or sleeves or sugars, creams, or spices were made available to customers at the self-service bar. I had to wait and after a few attempts at trying to get the girl’s attention, I was finally able to ask for a straw. She said that customers must request a straw and sleeve now, according to the new “rules” that employees are “forced to abide by.” Also, the girl had placed my latte next to another drink as if they were together, so when I took the drink that was sitting there solo, I quickly realized I’d taken the wrong drink, after taking a sip. The employees were friendly but the service and new policies suck. I won’t be back and I suggest that if you are paying $6 for a coffee, you go someplace where giving a straw with your iced latte with whipped cream on top is NOT an issue. Shame on...
