I recently had the pleasure of dining at K-Bob's Steakhouse & Catering, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly and attentive staff that made us feel welcome and valued as customers. One of the highlights of our visit was the salad bar, which was truly amazing. It had a wide selection of fresh and vibrant vegetables, fruits, and toppings. As a pescatarian, I was pleased to find plenty of options to suit my dietary needs, including various seafood options such as shrimp and smoked salmon. The salad bar was well-stocked and impeccably clean, and the quality of the ingredients was top-notch. It was evident that the restaurant takes great care in sourcing the best produce available.
Not only was the salad bar impressive, but the staff at K-Bob's also went above and beyond to accommodate my pescatarian preferences. They were knowledgeable about the menu and happily answered all of my questions, making sure to guide me towards dishes that would suit my dietary needs. It was wonderful to see a restaurant that was understanding and accommodating to different dietary choices.
In terms of the overall dining experience, I must say that K-Bob's exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with comfortable seating and a cozy ambiance. The service was prompt and attentive, with the staff checking in on us regularly without ever being intrusive.
While I cannot personally comment on the steak options at K-Bob's, as a pescatarian, I can certainly say that this restaurant is a fantastic choice for anyone with dietary restrictions or preferences. The salad bar alone is worth a visit, but the overall experience, from the friendly staff to the cozy atmosphere, truly sets K-Bob's apart from other establishments. I highly recommend K-Bob's Steakhouse & Catering to anyone looking for a diverse and accommodating...
Read moreMy family and I used to go here monthly. We'll not be going back. The service was absolutely the worst I've had anywhere in many years. Our food took about an hour, and they were just burgers. I'm pretty sure the waitress forgot to put the order in for awhile, as I saw her taking orders from several tables directly after taking our order. I had to flag someone down for drink refills, all of which took 15+ minutes to refill.
The prices have really skyrocketed, and as a cattle rancher, I know the prices on the beef are overly inflated. The salad bar is too expensive for the small salad wagon they have. When the check finally came, they are still adding a small donation to the check without telling you (fine print says you can take it off if you notice it and then request it). I live in the area and provide relief through various ways and $$ after the fires and floods, so I really didn't appreciate the waitress literally talking negatively to me when I requested it off. She actually lectured me about how it helps the town, and stood there as if I should change my mind. Donate if you want, but don't sneak that crap onto our bill and make us request to remove it. That's just dirty tactics.
In conclusion, I will not be going back, after horrible service the last 3 times we went, and for the other reasons listed. Do not recommend! BUT if you want affordable, delicious food (especially steaks) and a huge, clean salad bar at a great price... Cattle Baron is the way to go 100%. Their service is always top notch, food is way better and the prices are where...
Read moreMy wife and my 2 boys stopped in here upon arriving in Ruidoso to grab dinner. We were not expecting anything other than basic. We were thoroughly surprised though. The food was delicious and they had a 2 man band playing some great live music. Before our food was ordered we were brought some very delicious rolls and some cinnamon butter, those were very good. My wife ordered the regular chicken fried steak and it was spot on great. I had the steak sandwich and it was really good. My son ordered the kids burger and this thin is tiny like it makes a Mickey D's burger look big so just a heads up there he said it tasted good though. My other son got chicken tenders and he devoured the 2 and all the gravy they came with. My only complaints were where they seated us near this small side station which wreaked of bleach cleaner there were at least 10 other tables empty they could have seated us at. Another issue was our server would disappear for longer than desired stretches where we had empty glasses and wanted refills. Lastly this place says open till 9pm we wanted some more sweet tea at 8:20 and our server said they would not be making more because they were closing??? Im not from New Mexico but in Texas when we say open till 9 we mean if you come in before 9 you are getting served just like everyone before you. Does close time here mean that everyone has to be out at that magic time or what? Not very accommodating to the customers. Overall as long as you're not coming in late should be a good place to have a good meal prices were...
