Kroger — Local services in Russell

Not sure about the shopping it's self but don't get a Western Union sent 2 u there unless you're ready 2 tell ur whole life story and b treated like you're a criminal n a police interrogation. My fiancee just got a new job working out of town and sends me money every payday. We tried NetSpend but the card charges every transaction. So we decided on Western Union that way I get all the money, at least until I get PayPal set up. But the cashier there was questioning me up and down. I've done this a few times already and it usually goes like it should. But this time the guy wanted 2 know who was sending me the money, why he was sending it, why his address shows he lives n the same area as I do and he's sending me money? Which I told him he doesn't live n the same area he lives with me. When I told him my fiancee works out of town and is sending me bill money. Which should have been good enough but no he just kept on questioning me! We just bought a house 2yrs ago n February and his ID has our old address because it hasn't expired yet, but I had 2 renew mine so it has our current address on it. And he questioned me about that "well if he lives with u then why did he give them a different address when he sent it" Which he didn't give them any address they just look at the address on his ID. It was just crazy the way he treated me. I also carry my old ID n my wallet under my new 1. So after I handed him my ID of course seen the old 1 then he hesitated as he was walking away the computer came bk and pointed at the old 1 and asked "well which 1 is the right one?" I said that one pointing 2 the 1 I gave him. So he walked bk towards the computer again and asked "is the address on this 1 you're ACTUAL address?" He just kept asking personal questions he really didn't need 2 know. He made me feel so uncomfortable and treated me so badly it started 2 make me feel like I was doing something wrong or commiting a crime because I got sent money through Western Union. So I would recommend going 2 Ashland Kroger's or anywhere else 2 pick up ur Western Union unless u want 2 tell ur whole life story, as well as b interrogated and treated like a criminal. That cashier was completely out of line..... I'm a manager myself and I would fire 1 of my employees 4 treating a customer like that. I'm not 1 that usually writes reviews or complains but I just had to warn ppl if u can avoid it don't pick up Western Union there. The way I was treated and questioned was completely unprofessional and uncalled 4 it's not against the law 2 have ur fiancee or anyone 4 that matter Western Union u money that's y that...

They have a good selection and decent prices but the management is terrible. A couple months ago I tried to buy COLD hotdog sauce on a ebt it wouldn’t let me I told the cashier as long as it’s cold it’s ok she talked to the management they told her if it wouldn’t ring up and let ebt pay it couldn’t be bought. I buy it from pic pac Walmart etc all the time. You can’t buy hot food I k ow but this is cold. I called ebt they told me Kroger was taxing it wrong and if the management didn’t know they shouldn’t be there it is against the law to do so. If they didn’t know that they are probably taxing other things wrong which would allow ppl to purchase or vice versa. Today I went there to buy coffee I found one called ignite. There were 3 rows of them when I went to self checkout the machine said set item aside and they would help me when he came over it wouldn’t ring up so he ask manager again I told him it said 5.99 anyway they told him they couldn’t sell the product because it wouldn’t recognize I offered to take him and show him where they were and the the price so he could put it in and he informed me he couldn’t because the manager told him couldn’t sell it. Why stock something you can’t sell? Are the managers really this ignorant on things even me as a customer knows about how to tax the food. I called and told them what ebt said and went back about a month later and it they still wouldn’t allow me to purchase the cold hotdog sauce. Every grocery store in the are even the locally owned have a sign in the refrigerated deli section with hotdog sauce, chili, and so on that says anything in this case can be bought with ebt. Kentucky state told me on the phone if they are taxing it as hot which is what it sounded like she would make a report but I haven’t tried again and honestly I don’t go there unless I have to. I have been asked to leave the "About 15 items" check out lane and I only had 13 items, this has happened twice. I had a very rude worker tell me I had to many items for self check (If I had 20 small items That is all I had) He would not let me back out of the self check to go to a cashier and He would not let My go forward. My Husband has been knocked down on His knee he had surgery on by the workers who go around and shop for people who put in orders online and they did not say sorry or May I get through or anything, So I guess that is Our Bad for getting out in the cold and going into Their store to spend Our money that pays for their pay checks . I have returned home with items not in My bags that I have paid for, One time it was a thing of strawberries and I was told to come out and they would fix it and I did not go but today I came home with 5 things of cheese missing and I had just had enough. So I called out there and they said come out and We will fix it and I brought my sales slip to show I paid, I got out there (About 30 mins after just being there to shop) and the guy at the service desk acted like I was out there trying to steal His cheese. He went and asked the bag guy and it turns out the bag guy just put it in the cart to the ones behind Me in line. I pay enough of My Money for My food I am not buying for the ones food behind Me too. I told Him I wanted to talk to who ever was in charge and He finally said I "Could Have the Cheese I already paid for" I have never stole in My life and I do know some people try to pull a fast one, but I have been going to this store for 5 plus years and I think I am about done.
