Yummy Wok Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Russell

I routinely order through apps, especially on weekdays, because my life is a constant state of chaos. We all enjoy different things so making one dinner to suit everyone can be ridiculously hard. Ordering makes that much simpler and with delivery through apps, so much easier on me!

The first time we ordered, the driver (app) stole our food! I was immediately sent a new order and we thoroughly enjoyed the food once we got it.

The second time, we stupidly ordered too much! Everything looked so good on the menu that we went a little crazy. We ate the leftovers for many days! Lol We've learned to rein ourselves in a bit.

The wait times are a bit long, but I'm sure they're busy. Sometimes small things get confused. If I order spring rolls, I get egg rolls. If I order egg rolls, I will get spring rolls. Fried dumplings instead of steamed, when obviously steamed are far superior. ;) I've never made a formal complaint. At the end of the day, food is food but it would be nice to know that I'm getting what I ordered. But if you like beef and mushrooms, stop looking and start ordering. If I could leave 0/5 stars, I would. They wouldn't even take my order. 2 people were eating at a table, 1 man had just ordered, and I just stood there waiting to be given an opportunity to order for close to 10 minutes. Eventually I just left.

No music playing and it was like people were afraid to talk. It was dark and creepy in there. The floor was super slick too. Some of the doors to get in were still locked and I tried to eat here around 2pm.

They were serving on disposable plastic plates. They had a household kitchen microwave that was mostly covered in plastic wrap close to the counter that they were also cooking with. It was bizarre.

I was going to try this as this is pretty much the only local place to eat sit down American-Chinese food outside of the Japanese style steakhouses in this area. I heard a lot of good things when they first opened but I won't be coming back here and I definitely do not recommend anyone else going...

I am originally from Louisiana, born and raised until about 5 years ago, so finding ANY RESTAURANT that has actual FLAVOR and seasoning is ALWAYS a hit or miss and DEFINITELY usually more of a miss in my experience!! With that said, this place is HANDS DOWN, not only the best Chinese food I’ve tasted since I’ve moved here but is probably up there with how much I love other restaurants with actual GOOD FOOD that is well seasoned!!! If I could give more than 5 stars, I ABSOLUTELY WOULD because our food is ALWAYS 100% ON POINT (even if it’s rush dinner hour…no matter what, the food is ALWAYS amazing and the portion sizes are OUTRAGEOUS to say the least…we are ALWAYS eating the leftovers for 2 if not 2 and a half or 3 whole days!!!
