We went here for mother’s day. It wasn’t any more crowded than any other day. We had approximately 10 people in our party. We spent over 100$ on the buffet for everyone. Which was not a big deal. Everything was great until, towards the end of the meal, my 9 month old spilt a small bowl of sweet and sour on the floor. It was my fault for having it so close. I apologized multiple times and attempted to wipe most of it up from the table and seats with baby wipes. I never wanted to be “that mom” that lets my kid make huge messes in a restaurant. (If that doesn’t say Mother’s Day, IDK what does! 🤣) Anyways... most of our table was hardly half way done with eating at that point. Within two min. They dropped off our check and fortune cookies. Well, that’s fine. We paid and still stayed almost another hour. After they dropped off the checks, they didn’t come back to clean up plates. They didn’t come back to refill drinks. It was clear they wanted us out after the sweet and sour incident. Ok.. I can deal with that. I understand. I’ve waitressed before and it sucks when you have to clean up a mess when a table leaves. Everyone started walking out when I ran to my husband outside the restraunt to grab cash for a tip. When I walked in they were already cleaning and 3 were saying “what do you mean they didn’t leave a tip?? They said they were going to leave a tip at the table. That’s what they told me when they checked out” and another one going “nope. Of COURSE they didn’t leave a tip.” They clearly need to pay more attention to their surroundings because that is what made me decide to NEVER give this place another dime. My family goes here any time we have get togethers. Spending well over 100$ each time. Not anymore. They refilled our drinks once. Stopped serving us after something was spilled. And then trashed talked us when we were leaving. I put the cash in one of the chicks faces, handed it to her, and left without saying a word because I had nothing nice to say. Basically, don’t come here if you have kids. If you don’t, the food was decent. (though I’ve been here when it was clearly sitting out all day...
Read moreThe waitress was pleasant. She was also attentive or so it appeared. We had a family gathering w members who haven't visited in a few years so we intended on spending a Lil time there. Later we found out that the " attentiveness " was soley bc they wanted to close down this section of the business an hour and a half b4 they usually close for the night. I didnt get to finish my dinner. My regret is the amount I allowed and instructed my husband ( it was a joint decision) to tip. When you go out to eat a decent dinner at a price, decent service is expected regardless. Seeing there were 7 adults one teenager, it would have been very wise to assume we prob were not going to be in a huge hurry to leave. Hence= bigger tips poor seating choices on their ends! Bc of this and the way the management spoke to me while I was being pleasant and calm while politely tryn to resolve the issue, the manager, not the waitress, was ugly, beyond rude, loud, and continued to stick her finger in my face. Will I be returning? Only if Jesus Christ himself instructs me to! I refuse to spend that amount of money w my family and be rushed throughout the whole dinner and then talked horribly to for no provocted reasons at all! That is highly inappropriate and uncalled for. Especially while setting an example for the employees she was in charge of. Never again! I hope ur experience works out better for you than it did our family. #thedownfalloflivinginasmalltownwithlimitedoptions #beingrudeasmanagementmakesyoulookpubicallyridiculous #mulansshouldretraintheiremployees #8lostcustomers...
Read moreI hope people read reviews rather than just go by the numbers because we all have our own ideas of what is a 5. This was my first visit to Mulan's. I am giving it a 5 because it was not the best place I have ever been in any category but it did EVERYTHING well. Before one ever gets to Tasting a dish you get your initial impressions from the setup and atmosphere. Mulan's was soft lighting was bright enough to safely walk through the six buffet tables and make your selections. There were several sections for dining so the background sounds of a fairly full restaurant were not too challenging for older, hearing- impaired adults. The decor was not the lavish dragons and jewel tones that encourage overeating, but soothing neutral bamboo and other softer elements while still giving an Asian feel, just not demanding it. Restrooms were clean and located at the far end of the buffet so yourvcoulld get an idea of what was available while going to wash your hands before eating. When I am eating, texture counts along with flavor. I wish to repeat, there is a huge selection of good food. Anyone who does not have a good meal here probably is have a personal problem distracting from their meal. My favorites, the best I have anywhere, the Crab Ragoo. Very smooth, and the Chicken Teriyaki, my taste likes it dry and fully cooked as in grilled or even smoked. This was delightful. On the Other Side the broccoli stems were a bit tough. Potentially not a cooking issue but lateness of season for broccoli. 6 big tables of good dishes. Enjoy. Ph, and the price of $13.99 for a buffet not as...
