They don't deserve the. One star. Went here this evening. The manager was a horrible man. I ordered two burgers. One mushroom and Swiss and a captain burger. I did not receive everything. But I didn't know that until I got home. I had one burger that was raw inside. Still red even. And one two fries for $28.00 I left a $5.50 tip. I called and went back. It took almost as long as it did to cook the raw burger. The young waiting girl acted like she was scared to death of her boss. So I had taken a bite out of my mushroom and Swiss. It was so spicy I almost choked. But I have it to my husband. BTW by this time it's 6:15. We have our dinner between 4 and 5. Always. Said Manager wanted to retire my raw burger/ oh my husband took a huge bite it's raw inside. He's not pleased. So I guess what I am saying is. Don't eat at Peg Leg Russellville. And I asked for his name from the seemingly scared server. She would not say his name. She said I can't do anything else for you. But he said don't come back forever, life time. I have been eating here since they opened, but during the last 9 months or so, the food and service has really gone bad. Good staff has left due to poor treatment, food quality has diminished greatly, and the new cook is exceptionally rude. Went there today and ordered a normal for us: chicken quesadilla with no bell peppers. We always mention that I am allergic as some places assume you can just pick them out if you don’t like them, but once cooked, the oils are released into the food and it doesn’t matter. I can’t eat it at that point. I’m always understanding when accidents happen, but I do still need the meal recooked , so that’s why we mention it’s an allergy. Today, the cook refused. He said he cooks with bell peppers and they are “all over the kitchen” and there’s “no way” for him to cook without them. Yes. He said that. We left without food. So I guess we won’t be returning. 5 star burgers. Our party ordered the Kraken, the Breakfast burger, the double, and a classic cheeseburger. The fries are great. The Kraken was PERFECT. I wanted to rate the service as 1 star, but thats not accurate. The waitress was SO sweet, but everything was ordered wrong because she didn't really speak English well, and none of us spoke Spanish. All 4 drinks were brought out wrong, and anything we ordered to be held from the burgers were still there. We had to point to what we needed (in this case, a fork) and ask repeatedly. The building is somewhat unassuming with a few nautical themed decorations, and plenty of seating (booths and tables). If the food wasn't so good, I've have knocked off a few stars for the CONSTANT gospel music, though.
