I recently had the pleasure of indulging in a piping hot, freshly baked pepperoni pizza from Pizzasaurus Rex, and I must say that I was blown away by the experience. From the moment I entered the restaurant, I was struck by the inviting aroma of the pizzas baking in the oven, which heightened my expectations even further.

The crust was absolutely perfect - crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. It was clearly made with fresh ingredients and baked to perfection, and provided the perfect foundation for the toppings. The pepperoni was simply delicious, with a bold and savory flavor that paired perfectly with the sauce and cheese.

Speaking of the sauce, I have to say that the flavors were truly exceptional. They were perfectly balanced and provided just the right amount of zing to elevate the pizza to the next level. And the cheese was delightfully gooey, melting in my mouth with every bite.

Overall, I gotta say that Pizzasaurus Rex is a pizza lover's dream come true. With the combination of exceptional crust, flavorful toppings, and perfectly balanced sauces, it's no wonder that this place has become a local favorite. If you're looking for a pizza that will truly satisfy your cravings, I highly recommend giving Pizzasaurus Rex a try. You won't be...

We arrived on a Friday night around 7ish, there were people outside and inside dining but there was no wait. If was our first time so I asked the counter guy to give us a run down. He quickly explained the menu and we ordered, vegan combo, Dino sauce and ranch. He told us it would be about 30 min, which we didn't mind as we were in no hurry. We both got beer from tap list. We sat at a table inside, it was a little unclean as the window next to us was covered in dead flies as well as we had an annoying fly around us for most of the meal (it happens). we were given paper plates and togo 2 oz ramekins of ranch and the Dino sauce. ($.50 each) The ranch was maybe half full? The Dino Sauce reminded me of a an Indian chutney, seemed strange for a non Indian pizza place. The pizza came in what seemed about 30 min,the vegan combo, the toppings were really good I liked the pepperoni and the veggies and fresh basil. The fact they melted the vegan cheese 🤯 blew my non vegan GFs mind! However... I do wish the sauce was a little more flavourful. My only complaint was the crust... the bottom was too hard, and brown. (I also wish they had a vegan ranch). Next time I might request they cook it a little less. I will definitely go back...

I have to admit, when I first heard the name “Pizzasaurus Rex,” I was a little skeptical - it sounded a bit too playful for my taste. But after going there, boy do I stand corrected! After finally stopping by about a year and a half ago, I’ve been hooked ever since!

The pizza here is perfection. For me, it’s almost like a Detroit-style pizza...the dough is crispy on the bottom, soft and fluffy in the middle, and has just the right amount of chewiness. Every ingredient is fresh and top-quality. Their menu is straightforward, but that simplicity is exactly what makes it so great. I usually go for half pepperoni and half combination, and as someone who doesn't typically order pepperoni pizzas, that really says something about how incredible their pepperoni is - thick-cut and crispy, with so much flavor!

Not only is the pizza fantastic, but their house-made sauces are other-worldly. You can really tell they put care into everything they serve. The customer service is always friendly. Even though I usually order my pizzas to go, they also offer indoor and outdoor seating if you prefer to dine in.

I can’t recommend Pizzasaurus Rex enough. It’s easily one of my favorite pizza spots...

06/2024 Visited on a weekend for a quick slice. Somewhat busy. I ordered a "Dino Slice," which is just their "slice of the day." It costed me about $7.50. This was my second visit. The first visit I tried their classic Pepperoni and Dino slice, which at the time, was a pickle pizza. I would highly recommend either of those slices. On this second visit, their Dino slice was a mushroom, sausage, and red onion pizza. It was just alright. The service was direct and pretty fast. They seem to be a relatively new pizza spot that serves both whole pies and by-the-slice, which I think is fantastic. (Sacramento really needs more by-the-slice pizza joints). The atmosphere was modern/hipsterish. They had a variety of seating - stool height tables, regular height, bar seating. One of the tables is a Mrs. Pacman arcade cabinet/table! Would I come back here to eat again? I have and probably would come back again if I were in the mood for a quick slice. 4.5 out of 5 dino slices (specifically the pickle one)

I had heard good things about Pizzasaurus Rex, but I wasn't completely impressed. The crust was a little doughy and chewy, but didn't have the snap or crunch to it that I like to look for in pizza crust. The sauce and cheese were fine; not memorable. Where they really lost me was the veggies. You have the option to add things like basil, mushrooms, and olives to your slice. I guess I naively thought that they would bake those things onto my individual slice, but they kind of just toss all of those ingredients on top of your slice, *raw*. It wasn't my cup of tea. But, I really liked their truffle fries. Service was casual and easygoing, didn't have to wait too long. You order at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring it out to you. The interior is small and unassuming, but there's also some outdoor seating in the front as well as the side. The vibe is simple and homey. The experience was ok; I know they do different slices by the day or so, so I'd like to try it again sometime.
